the perfect romantic weekend escape in keswick, the Ferndene guest house surpassed all expectations. the location was ideal, just a short walk from the town center. the friendly staff went above and beyond, providing a warm welcome and delicious cooked breakfasts. the spacious room with a comfortable bed and excellent ensuite made for a truly enjoyable stay. we'll definitely be returning.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The breakfast was delicious and substantial, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The hosts were friendly and helpful, providing valuable information about the local area and walks.

The lack of internet connection in the rooms was slightly inconvenient, as we had to go to the dining room for internet access. However, this was not a major issue and did not significantly affect our overall experience.

We loved the friendly and accommodating owners, the lovely and well-prepared breakfasts, and the excellent location with easy access to the town centre. The hotel facilities were great, including the clean and comfortable rooms, with wonderful views of the surrounding area. The heating was always on, which was a nice touch after a day of hiking.

The hotel provided free car parking, which was a great convenience in the area. the rooms were clean, modern, and well-furnished, with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. the hotel's location was very convenient, as it was a short walk to the town center and also to the beautiful Derwentwater. the breakfast was fantastic, with a wide range of choices and the option to pre-order through an app.

It was a tall, characterful Victorian house, so there was no lift. However, the exercise of going up and down the stairs was good for you.

Base yourself in the heart of Keswick with a stay at this fantastic guest house. You'll be just minutes away from the vibrant town center, where you can explore charming shops and indulge in local cuisine.

The heating in the room is provided by an electric heater, which may not be as effective during the colder nights.

Our stay at Ferndene Guest House was wonderful. The room was cozy and had everything we needed for a short stay. The provided tea, coffee, and biscuits were a nice touch and were replenished daily. Despite the small size of the room, it had all the necessary amenities, although some furniture could use an update.

The location was perfect, with pubs, restaurants, and shops right at our doorstep. We enjoyed taking scenic walks in the area, immersing ourselves in the beautiful surroundings.

There were some minor issues during our stay. The bathroom door handle and hand towel rail in the Annex were a bit squeaky and could use some WD40.

Convenient location, close to town. Friendly hosts with great local knowledge. Delicious and filling breakfast. Clean and spacious rooms. Easy parking arrangements.
