The hotel was in a beautiful and quiet location, just a short walk away from the main market square and shops/pubs. the restaurant and bar had a lovely patio area that overlooked the river, providing a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. the breakfast offerings were superb, with a variety of options including a delicious full English and additional choices like kippers and eggs benedict. the staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay enjoyable.

The noise from the room above, as the floors seemed to be thin and we could hear people walking around and even their television. there was some noise from staff moving tables and chairs late at night, which was slightly annoying when trying to sleep.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. the hotel was located in a great area near the river and shops. the breakfast was delicious and had a good selection of options.

The sash windows in the room did not open up enough, which made it very hot and stuffy at night. the original beams in the building made it difficult for taller people to move around comfortably.

The restaurant staff, Fran and Georgie, were particularly impressive, managing to serve all the guests outside in the sweltering 36-degree weather with a smile on their faces. Despite the fridges working overtime and the fans on the verge of fusing, they remained calm and attentive. the location of the hotel was also a highlight, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. Plus, being within walking distance of the town center was a convenient bonus.

the size of the bed in the room was quite small, considering the room could easily accommodate a larger one. the parking situation was problematic.

We had a pleasant stay at a lovely hotel by the river. Our spacious room had a comfortable bed, and although there was no shower, the bathtub was nice. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome. The hotel's location in the charming town allowed us to explore easily. Despite a limited menu, the food at the restaurant was excellent. I would recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay.
