The view from the lounge window is fantastic, with beautiful sea views. The lounge is comfortable with a mini library, great for meeting fellow guests. The room was huge, with comfortable beds and clean bedclothes. The kitchen is well equipped and the atmosphere is nice.

Located by the water, the hostel is a great base for exploring the surrounding area. the drying room came in handy after getting caught in the rain while out hiking. easy access to boiling water meant we could make tea or coffee at any time of day.

The noise from the nearby road can be quite disruptive and there is no internet available. the lack of information provided by the staff regarding facilities or meal options was a disappointment.

I had a lovely stay at Sands Youth. the staff were amazing - friendly, helpful, and full of character. the 5-person room was spacious and had a nice cosy feel with wood panelling. the young woman working there during my visit was very helpful, even opening breakfast early for us. the views from the common room were stunning, and the location, just a short bike ride through the nearby campsite to Gairloch Sands beach, was amazing. There were also food options available at the campsite.

Gairloch Sands Youth Hostel provided the best aspects for my stay. The cleanliness was outstanding, with a lot of effort put into recycling and not wasting food. The facilities, especially the lounge, were great, providing a beautiful area to relax and enjoy a drink while taking in the stunning sea views. The staff were very friendly, offering a warm welcome and being extremely helpful. The location, although a bit outside of the city, was still convenient with easy transportation options. Additionally, being near the beach was a definite highlight.

The location of this hostel is absolutely jaw-dropping, with stunning views of the sea. The building itself is super nice, and the library with comfortable sofas overlooking the sea is mind-blowing. The kitchen is clean and well-maintained, and the living room is cozy and perfect for dinners and breakfasts. The staff is lovely and very helpful, even opening breakfast early for us. an excellent place with amazing views and a friendly atmosphere.

We had an amazing stay at Gairloch Sands Youth! The location was stunning, with beautiful views of the sea. The old building with modern interiors gave it a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The lounge room was especially inviting, with books and ideas for things to do in the area. The staff was sweet and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. The Tikka Masala dinner was absolutely delicious and highly recommended. The private room was comfortable and the heater kept us warm during the chilly evenings. We also appreciated the ample parking available. we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

The communal toilets were small and located in a separate area, which was a bit inconvenient. Nonetheless, these minor drawbacks didn't detract from the overall enjoyable stay.
