The rooms are comfortable and warm, with well-kept bathrooms featuring over-the-bath showers. The friendly staff provide excellent service, and the hearty breakfast is made fresh to order. the ongoing refurbishment adds a modern touch to the rooms.

Some areas of the hotel appear tired and in need of renovation.

We had a great weekend at this lovely hotel in a historic building. the hotel room was clean and warm, with a comfortable bed for a restful night's sleep. We also enjoyed the delicious food in the restaurant, with plenty of seating areas to relax and enjoy a drink or two. the hotel's central location made it easy for us to explore the nearby attractions and shops.

There were a couple of downsides. the shower in our room was often only lukewarm, which was a bit disappointing.
