Stayed in a beautiful period house with fabulous features. Enjoyed the friendly bar, Mr Grundy's, with their own craft beers. The beer garden and music were perfect for our taste. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Great location, easy to find, with plenty of local shops and pubs nearby.

I recently spent Christmas in a historic hotel and I must say I enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which was a great start. The location was spot on, with only a short distance walk to the city centre. On Christmas Eve, they even offered guests a free glass of mulled wine and mince pie, which was a lovely touch. The room was also clean and comfortable, with all the basic amenities available.

There were a few aspects of my stay that could be improved. The shower was not great, as the water temperature kept fluctuating between hot and cold.
