It is a charming guest house with exceptionally friendly service and a delightful breakfast menu!

The location was perfect for being away from the main tourist hustle. about 15 mins walk to the city center. the bed was solid with a small yet efficient room layout. great breakfast choices too.

A quick 15-minute stroll brought me to the city center, and the self-check-in was seamless, making arrival stress-free. While the parking permit was convenient and reasonably priced, a minor hiccup occurred when I learned breakfast wouldn’t be served during my stay. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, with easy access to local eateries and charming tea rooms nearby.

Some stay conditions are confusing!!! Who doesn’t clean their own dishes if they provide a kettle and tea? The shower had no hot water on my visit!!!

The room was a bit small, felt like we were climbing over each other, but the breakfast was the highlight—best pancakes ever! Chur!

It was just a great fit for a hurried visit in York with all in all brilliant value for money. The room had nice coffee/tea making facilities along with biscuits, which was a sweet surprise after a long day. Pay attention to parking costs. it’s £5 per 24hr, so plan ahead.

grange lodge has a fantastic location, just a 10-minute walk from the city center. parking was easy on a quiet road with a free temporary residents' permit. the ground floor room was spacious and clean, and the comfortable bed made for a great night’s sleep. breakfast had plenty of choices too!

I enjoyed my stay, though the room was small and filled mostly with the bed, leaving little space. I had to climb several narrow stairs to reach it, which was tiring. On a positive note, I found it easy to access the nearby attractions. I had to tether my phone for internet access, but the fan provided was useful during the warm nights. I appreciated the convenient parking right outside. Being a solo traveler, simplicity mattered to me.

Had a bit of a jol at this place! Breakfast was proper, with eggs done just right and the coffee was on point. Plus, the hosts were super friendly, felt like I was at a mate's house. Quick 10-minute walk to the city centre too, which was perfect for exploring.

Room was a touch small, had to navigate around the bed a bit, but it was comfy enough.

This place suits me perfectly! It has everything I need like free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and electric kettle. I appreciate how staff helped with my elderly parents during my first stay. Highly recommend it for a city break!
