The hotel had a quirky and cute decor, with vintage yet modern vibes throughout. It was super clean and the staff were great. The location was second to none, right in the middle of everything from sights, restaurants, pubs, and markets. The hotel was quite close to the Royal Mile, the Castle, St Giles Cathedral, Greyfriars Kirk and cemetery, and the National Museum. The adjacent pub served delicious breakfast.

This hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the city, right on the top of the Grassmarket area. There are plenty of great restaurants just a stone's throw away, and you are on the opposite side of a lively pub. The room was decorated in a modern style and was very comfortable, with everything I needed including tea and coffee facilities and toiletries. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room rate was very reasonable.

loved the location under castle, quirky rooms with magnetic map and tunnocks tea cakes, comfy beds and awesome showers! stayed in Edinburgh before, but Grassmarket exceeded expectations with warm reception, great breakfast at Biddy Mulligans, and pubs on the doorstep!

The room was full of quirky character with spotless cleanliness. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the shower was amazing. The breakfast at the pub next door was delicious, well presented, and the bar was quiet. The location couldn't have been better.

We got decent value for our money with a clean and tidy room at Grassmarket Hotel. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of a lively area with easy access to major attractions. The staff were excellent and went out of their way to assist us.

The sound-proofing in the hotel was poor, causing disturbances from surrounding rooms and doors slamming. the heating in our family room didn't work, and alternative solutions offered were not satisfactory.

Perfect location with lots of restaurants and places to visit. Loved the unique design of the room, with a giant street map and Tunnocks tea cakes provided daily. Getting 10% off at the pub next door was also a nice bonus. Staff went above and beyond, delivering clean towels and toiletries daily to our sick friend without disturbing her.

Room was a bit chilly even with heating turned up and it took a while for hot water to arrive. Could hear laundry machines running from nearby business early in the morning.
