I had an amazing stay with fantastic value for my money; the room was adorable and super comfortable! The staff treated us like family, especially one kind man who really went out of his way to help when I was in a jam.

Menu for breakfast could be available at 7:30 instead of 8:00.

We had a fantastic stay at a lovely hostel in a great location. the hostel is set in a beautiful older building with surrounding stables and land, creating a charming atmosphere. Inside, the hostel is well-maintained and furnished, providing a comfortable stay. the meals offered by the staff, including delicious breakfasts, dinners, and packed lunches, were a real highlight and greatly appreciated. the hostel truly offers a great hostel experience with excellent value for money. Kudos to Vicky and Rachel for their exceptional hospitality, and a special thanks to Alistair for preserving this marvelous building. PS: Vicky's tuna sandwich was absolutely amazing!

The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, with an impressive variety of hot and cold options to choose from. The evening meals were equally delicious and reasonably priced, with a great vegetarian choice available. Vicky, the host, was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area, which was a big bonus for us as avid walkers. The dining room was always clean and tidy, and the lounge area provided a cozy spot to relax with a TV, magazines, and even board games like Jenga. We were so impressed with our stay that we can't wait to come back in the future! Also, the surrounding area was stunning, with private parking available. The bedroom and shared bathroom were both clean, and the hostel even had a laundry room equipped with washing machines and tumble dryers. The staff were super friendly and helpful, creating a special atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The breakfast and dinner options were tasty and satisfying, and the beds were comfortable in our private room. The shared bathrooms were well-maintained and clean, and we really appreciated having access to a self-cook kitchen and a small store to purchase food for cooking or trail snacks. The location was fairly convenient for trail access, and the addition of a laundry room was a big plus. Plus, we had the pleasure of the company of a friendly rooster who liked to hang out with the guests. our experience at this hostel was absolutely wonderful and exemplified why hostels are such a fun and enjoyable place to stay.

Exceptionally high standard facilities, efficiently run by a knowledgeable and welcoming host. Comfortable beds in a picturesque location. Varied, tasty meals at reasonable prices. Clean dining room and cozy lounge. Would definitely return.
