I had an amazing stay at this place! The room was absolutely luxurious and beautifully decorated. The staff, especially the manager Nicky, were so friendly and accommodating, they couldn't do enough for us. The bar area was stunning, and I loved sitting outside by the pond, enjoying the beautiful views across the Essex countryside. The gardens were well kept and added to the overall charm of this venue.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Excellent staff in restaurant and bar, especially Daniel and Steven. Food was delicious. Halloween murder mystery and afternoon tea were great too. Clean and comfortable venue with a mix of traditional and modern. Sumptuous room. A great place to treat yourself.

We had an excellent stay here. The location is beautiful, surrounded by greenery and just a short walk away from the charming town of Stock. The hotel itself is stunning, with its luxurious decor and comfy furniture. The reception area and bar create a grand first impression, and the staff at check-in were friendly and welcoming. The room was immaculate, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. From the ironing facilities to the flat-screen TV, everything was in top-notch condition. We also loved the terrace in our room, which provided a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the view.

The service was not up to par. Some staff members were rude and unhelpful, which left us feeling a bit disappointed.

Unfortunately the New Year experience wasn't the best. The music was too loud and not suitable for the occasion.

The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bedding was clean. The hotel's communal areas were luxurious and well-maintained. the hotel had convenient amenities like a fan, hairdryer, and iron already available in the room without having to request them.

The room could have been cleaner, with noticeable dust in some areas and a filthy and falling apart ironing board. The food itself was not up to par, especially considering the extra charge for breakfast.

Compared to other hotels in the area, Greenwoods offers spacious rooms with tasteful decor, and the attentive staff go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The breakfast spread is well presented and offers a variety of options to suit all tastes.

It is worth noting that some areas of the spa, such as the poolside loungers, may be insufficient to meet customer demand.

I had a fantastic weekend at this beautiful hotel and spa. The staff were efficient and professional, quickly rectifying a small issue with my room. The bar staff were also prompt in responding to my requests. The hotel grounds are gorgeous and the rooms are comfortable and immaculately clean. I loved the spa and enjoyed a relaxing massage, while my boyfriend had a great time in the pool and steam room. Dinner was delicious and the lounge bar provided a great atmosphere for a fun night. I will definitely be returning next year.
