The owners' warmth and friendliness made us feel right at home. The spacious rooms and comfortable beds were a treat. The breakfast options, especially for vegetarians and vegans, were impressive and delicious. The location was perfect, with easy access to the sea, city center, restaurants, and pubs. a memorable experience and we can't wait to return!

I had a superb stay at this guest house. the warm welcome, comfortable room, and great bed and bedding made for a perfect night's sleep. the added touches of lavender pillow spray and sleepy tea were a nice touch. the breakfast was excellent, especially the homemade bread and marmalades. the location was also ideal, very close to the beach and a short walk to the pier. the hosts, John and Sarah, were friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Gyves House for a fantastic Eastbourne getaway.

gyves house was even more amazing than our previous stay in eastbourne. the room was spacious and the hosts were so friendly and helpful. we loved the homemade breakfast and eco-friendly touches like glass water bottles. we can't wait to visit again!

Parking was a challenge.

The location of the hotel was perfect, as it was very close to the town centre, making it convenient to attend a 60th birthday party. It was also right by the seafront, which was excellent for walks and accessing local eateries. The room was well looked after with a personal touch, and the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast menu offered fresh local seasonal foods, and the homemade Strawberry Jam was a highlight. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home.

There was a lack of car parking, which made it uncertain if we would find another space.

I got amazing value for my money at Gyves House. The room was clean, cozy, and had a great selection of teas with homemade biscuits. The location was perfect and the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly.

Hotel breakfast was delicious, except for the store-bought hash brown. A homemade version or removing it would make it even better.

The hosts John & Sarah were incredibly kind and went the extra mile during our stay. The location was excellent, with free parking available outside. The breakfast was superb, with a variety of options and even vegetarian/vegan choices. The room was clean, spacious, and had a huge bathroom with an excellent shower. The facilities overall were very good, including a large TV and plenty of storage space. The owners were very responsive to any questions we had, making our stay enjoyable.

Lovely relaxing weekend

I had a wonderful weekend at a charming guest house by the sea. The room was beautifully decorated and oh so comfortable. Each morning, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast with plenty of options to choose from. The owner, Carol, was so kind and helpful, recommending great restaurants nearby. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the town center. I had a lovely and relaxing stay at Gyves Guest House. I highly recommend it.

I particularly enjoyed the homemade biscuits provided. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I had a peaceful night's sleep. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious, with a great selection to choose from. I highly recommend this B&B for a wonderful stay.

The hosts were amazing, welcoming and kind. They gave us a lot of advice on what to do around town. Great breakfast with a lot of options to choose from. the room was spacious and comfortable, with a large en suite bathroom. the bed was excellent. We especially enjoyed the sea view from the room and the little touches like chocolate mints on the bed.

Parking was a bit of a hassle and difficult to find. It was also a bit noisy at night, as the room overlooked the street.
