The hosts are friendly and welcoming, providing plenty of information about the local area and beyond. The breakfast served is delicious and the service is excellent, ensuring a pleasant start to the day.

The checkout time is a bit rushed, between 8.30am and 9am, which may feel early and not give enough time to fully enjoy the holiday.

Just returned from a lovely 3-night stay at Hazeldene in celebration of our silver wedding. Paul and Lesley made us feel right at home and were exceptional hosts. The room was clean and comfortable, with thoughtful touches like make-up removal supplies and a selection of hot beverages. The lake view from Room 4 was breathtaking, and the location was perfect for exploring shops and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options and homemade jams to choose from. Highly recommended for a weekend getaway!

This hotel has the perfect location, right by the lake and within easy walking distance of all the shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, and the main pier. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful, always ready for a chat and offering useful tips about the area. The rooms are clean, modern, and functional, with a tea tray provided. The breakfast is delicious, made with locally sourced items. There is also free parking available nearby, about 100m down a hill.

Nothing it is perfect.

This hotel is a real gem in the heart of the beautiful Lake District. The attention to detail in the rooms is impressive, with comfortable beds and high-quality bed linen. Plus, the view from our room was absolutely stunning, overlooking the serene lake. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, providing us with helpful advice about the area. And let's not forget the delicious breakfast, especially the homemade preserves which we couldn't resist buying. All in all, a fantastic stay!

Couldn't stay longer

I was pleasantly surprised by the great value for money at this guest house. The room was cozy and had all the amenities I needed. The location couldn't have been better, right in the heart of everything, and the staff treated us like old friends.

This guest house is in a great location, just on the outskirts of Bowness. You can easily walk to shops, pubs, and restaurants. The room we stayed in was bright, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bathroom had lovely smelling toiletries and even a specific make-up flannel. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, providing lots of local knowledge and recommendations. The breakfast was delicious, with locally sourced items. it was a perfect place to stay.

The lack of blackout blinds in the room, but it didn't take away from the amazing experience.

During our stay at Hazeldene Guest House, we had a delightful experience. The room we stayed in was bright, clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The daily housekeeping service was a pleasant surprise. We were impressed by the warm welcome we received from Sam, even though we arrived late and had an additional guest staying elsewhere. She offered her own shampoo and conditioner when we forgot ours. Sam and her husband went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The breakfast provided was not only delicious but also came with information about the locally sourced ingredients. We would definitely recommend this guest house for its excellent service and the friendly nature of the hosts. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great stay, would definitely stay here again. Good location, easy walk to the lake. Great hosts and great view of the lake from the room. Breakfast was really good and the service was great too. Plenty of information available about the local area and beyond. Good location for visiting all of the other lakes.

The only fault I had was the mattress in our room was way too soft for me. Nothing could have been better.

We had a wonderful stay at Hazeldene. Paul and Lesley were incredibly welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was delicious with a great selection available. The guesthouse is conveniently located, close to all amenities. Parking wasn't an issue for us as there was a nearby parking area. We stayed in room 3, which was nice, but we were told that room 2 is the best with a lake view. we highly recommend Hazeldene and look forward to returning in the spring.

Our Christmas experience was not as pleasant as hoped. The staff seemed disinterested and uninvolved in creating a festive atmosphere.
