the staff were friendly and attentive, exceeding our expectations. they took care of every detail, including arranging food for after the funeral service. the hotel was clean and the room was spacious with a great view. we highly recommend staying here. we will be returning again soon. thank you to the amazing staff.

Noisy bathroom from connected room.

The cleanliness of the room was excellent and the decor was nice. We also enjoyed the fact that the hotel was conveniently located near popular attractions and had friendly staff at reception.

There were a few aspects of our stay that we did not enjoy. there was nowhere to hang towels and not enough hangers in the room.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect for visiting the area, especially the stadium of light in Sunderland. The cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable and the hotel facilities were top-notch. The staff were friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The breakfast offered a great variety of options and was delicious. Additionally, the parking and transportation options were convenient, with easy access to a nearby bus service.

I particularly appreciated the rooms with a view, as it added to the overall experience of my stay.

our budget stay at highfield in houghton-le-spring was fantastic. the helpful and friendly staff made check-in a breeze and the food was delicious. the spacious and clean rooms exceeded our expectations. can't wait to return!
