The location was fantastic, as it was close to the cross Channel ferry port and near the shops. It was also a convenient spot for major sightseeing locations. This hotel is in an amazing location, right next to the shopping centre and close to plenty of restaurants. Despite not being recently refurbished, the rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was included in the rate, although the quantity of food provided was a little disappointing.

I recently stayed at Holiday Inn Express in Portsmouth for a weekend getaway with my family. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent breakfast options, including a cooked option for a continental breakfast. The hotel's location was also great, and the bed in our room was very comfortable. Additionally, the cost of parking in the nearby car park was significantly reduced, which was a pleasant surprise. I must mention the two staff members, Maisie and Charlee, who were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to assist us during our stay. The guest appreciation week was a lovely touch, with complimentary prosecco and wine upon arrival, and fun activities like spinning the wheel. All in all, it was a wonderful trip, and I appreciate the swift response from the reception and housekeeping teams for fulfilling our requests. Thank you very much.
