We had a fantastic stay at this relaxed guest house by the sea. the warm welcome from the owner's Brother Ash made us feel right at home. Room 4, located upstairs, was perfect with its en-suite bathroom and comfortable bed. the kitchen facilities were open for us to use, and we enjoyed the lovely enclosed garden with plenty of seating. the optional hot tub was a great bonus. the free WiFi worked well, and there were small touches like a mini fridge with fresh milk in our room. the location was ideal, just minutes from the beach and a short walk to the bus stop for easy access to Brighton Marina.

The lodge is conveniently located close to the seaside and right near the bus stop into Brighton, making it easy to explore the area. Guests have mentioned that it is in a nice area at the back of the house, providing a pleasant atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and guests have enjoyed amenities such as the shared kitchen and the option of bringing pets along for an extra fee.

Some guests have mentioned that the additional charge for bringing a pet overnight seemed expensive, which could be a drawback for pet owners.

We had a great stay at this lodge! the on-site manager, Ash, was very helpful and welcoming. He showed us around the facilities, including the kitchen where we could make our own drinks. We also loved the garden and the jacuzzi, although it was occupied at the time. Ash even recommended a fantastic burger bar nearby for our evening meal. the atmosphere at the lodge was relaxed and homely, and we appreciated being able to bring our dog with us. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thanks to the team at John Wayne's Lodge By Sea for a wonderful stay!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room, bed, bathroom, and kitchen were all fine. We had full use of the kitchen and there were tea bags and freeze-dried coffee provided for free. The location was perfect, just minutes away from the sea. We loved how close it was to shops for food, including a co-op, and the hotel had private parking. The bus service to Brighton and Eastbourne was excellent, with a bus every ~10 minutes. We also enjoyed the fact that the hotel was located on a quiet residential road and very close to the ferry terminal.
