I stayed at King Alfred for a weekend trip and had a great experience. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a modern bathroom. The temperature was just right, unlike other hotels I've been to. The wifi was excellent, and the breakfast was worth waking up early for. I appreciate having a kettle in the room, with a good selection of tea, coffee, and milk. The bar had a great ambiance, and the restaurant served delicious food. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially the evening staff. The facilities were clean, and the hotel is conveniently located.

Despite being close to the centre, the hotel felt like a tranquil retreat. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and recently refurbished, with a stunning view of the surrounding area. The staff were friendly and accommodating, addressing all our needs with a smile. The breakfast offered a variety of options, ensuring everyone in our group was satisfied. The hotel's facilities, such as the on-site restaurant and adult play park, added extra enjoyment to our stay.

The WiFi connection was occasionally patchy, but it was still strong enough to handle basic tasks like checking work emails.

The breakfast options were also great, with a good selection of hot dishes to choose from. the staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.

That the noise from the pub downstairs could be heard in the rooms. It wasn't a huge issue as it stopped around 10pm, but it did start up again quite early in the morning.

Noisy main road outside.

The location of the hotel was perfect for me as I was visiting relatives and I could easily walk into the town centre for dinner. The food at the hotel, especially the Saturday night dinner, was very nice and reasonably priced. the breakfast choices were diverse and satisfying. I also appreciated that the single room I stayed in was of decent size and had a nice view of the car park and sea.

Entering the hotel was a bit confusing and there was no glassing room available. there were some amenities missing in the room such as a bottle of water, biscuits, and a hairdryer.
