I absolutely loved my stay at La Rosa! The room I stayed in had the most breathtaking view of the harbor and abbey. The decor was exactly as I had expected from their website. The breakfast basket they delivered each morning was not only delicious but also kept me full until well after lunchtime. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and fun. They even suggested some great places for me to visit. I especially enjoyed the unique cocktail bar. Despite the small drawbacks like a creaky bed and no shower, I would still highly recommend La Rosa for its quirky and wonderful charm. I had an incredible experience and would definitely return.

The location of the hotel is perfect for bike riders, as it is situated on the opposite cliff, offering stunning views of the Abbey ruins and Whitby waterfront. After a long hike over the cliffs, the hotel provides a relaxing haven to sooth the muscles. The room we stayed in had a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom with a large, rejuvenating bath. The staff provided excellent service, and the breakfast, delivered in a picnic basket, was a delightful start to the day.

A riot of Victorian inspiration! the Victorian tearoom served fantastic homemade cakes. Enhanced cleaning gave the place a seductive wonderland vibe.

I enjoyed feeling like I was in an awkward Victorian situation with the dusty bed that tried to toss me out every night.

Stayed at a small hotel in a charming location over New Year. The hotel offered fantastic views of the harbor and the sea. The staff at the reception were very helpful and made sure we had a parking pass for the duration of our stay. The breakfast was provided in a picnic basket and was delicious. The vintage decor and quirky rooms were a highlight, especially the shabby chic and kitschy touches.

The bathroom was a bit dark and did not have a shower. There was only a large, relaxing bath and no mirror over the sink, which made getting ready a bit challenging. The bed, unfortunately, was far too soft and the bed frame creaked loudly with the smallest move. However, despite this, we had a wonderful time exploring the area and would definitely consider staying here again for the location and unique experience.
