Nothing could have been better.

We recently had a wonderful stay at a guesthouse in the Lake District. The owners were extremely friendly and offered great suggestions for local activities and walks. The room was spacious and clean, and the en suite had a fantastic walk-in shower. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide selection of fruits, yogurts, and cereals. We even had a beautiful view of the lake from our room. The guesthouse was conveniently located near public transport, making it easy to explore the area.

The guesthouse was a bit difficult to find and the directions provided by the owners were not very accurate.

As vegetarians and vegans, we loved the variety of plant-based options for breakfast. The hosts were accommodating and even provided recommendations for vegan-friendly restaurants in the area.

Felt like we were part of their family, no complaints.

I had the most perfect week at Lakeside Country Guest House. The self-catering lodge we stayed in was warm, cosy, and well-equipped. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I finally had a good night's sleep on holiday. The owners, Sharon and Arnie, were helpful yet gave us the privacy to enjoy our holiday. The location was ideal, with plenty of walks and other lakes to explore. I couldn't have asked for a better retreat for me and my two dogs. Definitely worth a visit!

We had an amazing new year at a stunning guest house near a serene lake. the house was very well-maintained and cozy, making us feel right at home. We were able to explore the nearby location with ease and delighted in the delicious breakfast each morning. the locally-sourced ingredients just added to the delightful taste.

Although we enjoyed everything, we wished that they had a more flexible refund policy. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel one day earlier than we intended.

This cozy B&B is the perfect place to stay in the Lake District. The owners are friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was warm, clean, and had a stunning view of the lake. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. There is ample parking available. The location is ideal for exploring the surrounding towns and attractions.

It would have been nice to have a fan in the room during the warm weather.

The parking area was spacious, allowing us to easily park our car.

The nearby village was not within walking distance, but it was easily accessible by car.

The owners of the guest house were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, even resolving a mix-up with our beds within minutes. We enjoyed chatting with them while sitting in the bay window with a beautiful view of the lake.

I highly recommend this hotel for its warm and welcoming owners and the stunning location. Although there were a few minor drawbacks mentioned in the database, the exceptional service and comfortable accommodations more than made up for them.

I recently stayed at a 4-star hotel in the Lake District and had a truly luxurious experience. The hotel was located in a stunning area, perfect for exploring the beautiful western lakes. The staff provided excellent service, ensuring that my room was impeccably cleaned and supplied with fresh towels every day. The hotel also offered a wide range of amenities, such as a terrace with comfortable garden furniture where I could relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The room itself was well-appointed, with a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee facilities, and a cozy sitting area. I also appreciated the extra touches like complimentary toiletries and an electric kettle.

As a couple, we loved the stunning location near Bassenthwaite lake, just a short 5-minute walk away. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully furnished. The breakfast options were extensive and delicious, with both hot and cold choices. Tim and Karen, the hosts, were warm and friendly, offering excellent local knowledge.
