The location of this guest house was fantastic, with easy access to the ferry and a beautiful part of the lakes. Being within walking distance of the ferry was really convenient, especially for exploring the area. The host was welcoming and attentive, making sure our stay was enjoyable. The breakfast was plentiful and cooked to our preferences, providing a great start to the day. It was also a nice touch to have tea and coffee in the room, allowing for a relaxing beverage anytime. we had a restful sleep and woke up feeling refreshed.

One aspect that was a bit disappointing was the bathroom situation. We booked a room with a "private bathroom" but found out upon arrival that it was down the hall and shared with other guests.

The exterior of the property could use some improvement, with overgrown shrubs, flaking paint, and weeds. the bathroom in our room was a bit grotty and could benefit from a revamp and a thorough clean.

The breakfast was delicious and had a variety of options. The location was great, with Lakeside and the lake itself being within walking distance. Colin even allowed us to leave our car at the hotel while we walked down to the lake. it was a pleasant stay in a beautiful area.

I recently stayed at the lovely Landing Cottage Guest House for a few nights. The host, Colin, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room was beautifully furnished with comfortable furniture, and the bed was a dream to sleep on. The TV had plenty of channels to choose from, and the breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options including cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, juices. Colin was always available to provide recommendations for dining and attractions in the area. one of the best stays I've had in the Lake District!
