Great location, comfortable room, attentive staff

The location was perfect, with easy access to parking and a pleasant walk or short bus ride to the old town. My room, a Grand Room with 1 King Bed and a balcony, was spotlessly clean and had all the functionality I needed. The large desk area was perfect for catching up on work, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom had both a shower cubicle and a bath, which was a nice touch. The staff at the hotel were super attentive, even going above and beyond to check on dietary requirements at breakfast. My boys loved the swimming pool, using it every day. I was very pleased with my stay at Marriott and would definitely recommend it.

The rooms were a bit dated but spacious, and our family room had two double beds and a sofa area with a large flat screen TV. The hotel provided room service, which was great for us as our little one was exhausted and went to sleep early. The lamb tagine and fish and chips from room service were delicious, and we enjoyed a bottle of Governor Grenache Tempranillo. The gardens were lovely, and we had a great view overlooking the racecourse. The pool in the morning was fantastic, and we had it all to ourselves. The breakfast selection was large and the food was tasty.

The restaurant , with several menu items not available, including fillet steak and scallops. The showers in the basement rooms did not work properly and there was no warm water.

The hotel offered a pool and great facilities at a reasonable price. The staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was enjoyable. The property had a bit of a dated feel, but it was comfortable and clean. Highly recommended!

I had a fantastic stay at Delta Hotels in York. The location was perfect, right by the racecourse and with a track for running nearby. The gardens surrounding the hotel were beautifully maintained, providing a serene and enjoyable atmosphere. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had at a hotel, with a wide variety of delicious options. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a large bed and plush pillows. The water pressure in the shower was consistently good, and the temperature was always perfect. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as limited dining options and some maintenance issues, overall I highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay in York.

Didn't dislike anything about the property.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The leisure facilities including the pool, sauna, and steam room were excellent, providing a great way to relax and unwind. We also enjoyed the plentiful breakfast, although it could have been a little warmer. The view from our room was lovely, overlooking the racecourse. The hotel's location near the racecourse was perfect for early morning and late evening walks or jogs. Additionally, the ample and secure parking was very convenient.

Almost perfect, but the bathroom was a little dated and easily misted up during showers. The heating system was also a bit antiquated.

We loved the cleanliness of the hotel, everything was exceptionally clean. The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel's location was perfect for us, with easy access to York centre in just 5 minutes via the bus stop right outside. The view from the back of the hotel, overlooking the racecourse, was absolutely beautiful.

The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They always had a smile on their faces and were eager to assist with any requests we had. the location of the hotel was also fantastic, with easy access to key attractions in the city. Plus, the free parking was a huge bonus for us.

There were a couple of aspects that could have been better. the air conditioning in our room was not functioning properly, which made for an uncomfortable night.

The staff members were friendly and engaging. the pool area was clean and well-maintained, definitely the highlight of the stay. the toiletries provided in the room were of good quality.

The property was very worn and in need of refurbishment. the room service left much to be desired -- it was often late, wrong orders were delivered, and it was a hassle to request additional meals.

I had a great stay at a well-maintained hotel in a convenient location. The room was comfortable and the bed provided a good night's sleep. The hot water in the bathroom was satisfactory. Despite a few minor inconveniences, the hotel was clean and the breakfast was enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel.
