Great location, comfortable room, attentive staff

The location was perfect, with easy access to parking and a pleasant walk or short bus ride to the old town. My room, a Grand Room with 1 King Bed and a balcony, was spotlessly clean and had all the functionality I needed. The large desk area was perfect for catching up on work, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom had both a shower cubicle and a bath, which was a nice touch. The staff at the hotel were super attentive, even going above and beyond to check on dietary requirements at breakfast. My boys loved the swimming pool, using it every day. I was very pleased with my stay at Marriott and would definitely recommend it.

The rooms were a bit dated but spacious, and our family room had two double beds and a sofa area with a large flat screen TV. The hotel provided room service, which was great for us as our little one was exhausted and went to sleep early. The lamb tagine and fish and chips from room service were delicious, and we enjoyed a bottle of Governor Grenache Tempranillo. The gardens were lovely, and we had a great view overlooking the racecourse. The pool in the morning was fantastic, and we had it all to ourselves. The breakfast selection was large and the food was tasty.

The restaurant , with several menu items not available, including fillet steak and scallops. The showers in the basement rooms did not work properly and there was no warm water.

I had a fantastic stay at Delta Hotels in York. The location was perfect, right by the racecourse and with a track for running nearby. The gardens surrounding the hotel were beautifully maintained, providing a serene and enjoyable atmosphere. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had at a hotel, with a wide variety of delicious options. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a large bed and plush pillows. The water pressure in the shower was consistently good, and the temperature was always perfect. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as limited dining options and some maintenance issues, overall I highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay in York.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The leisure facilities including the pool, sauna, and steam room were excellent, providing a great way to relax and unwind. We also enjoyed the plentiful breakfast, although it could have been a little warmer. The view from our room was lovely, overlooking the racecourse. The hotel's location near the racecourse was perfect for early morning and late evening walks or jogs. Additionally, the ample and secure parking was very convenient.

Almost perfect, but the bathroom was a little dated and easily misted up during showers. The heating system was also a bit antiquated.

The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They always had a smile on their faces and were eager to assist with any requests we had. the location of the hotel was also fantastic, with easy access to key attractions in the city. Plus, the free parking was a huge bonus for us.

There were a couple of aspects that could have been better. the air conditioning in our room was not functioning properly, which made for an uncomfortable night.

This made it incredibly convenient to travel into the city center with only a short bus ride. Plus, being right along the York race course added a touch of elegance to our stay. The service here was top-notch, with room service, car hire, dry cleaning, and housekeeping all available. We were impressed with the wide range of amenities provided in our room, including ironing facilities, heating, air conditioning, tea. We also enjoyed relaxing on the terrace, which had comfortable garden furniture. we were very impressed.

While the staff at this hotel were friendly and helpful, they did appear to be lacking some training in service. However, when we had a minor issue, a manager promptly offered to assist us.

The swimming pool was perfect for us with 2 children. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The gluten-free breakfast was great for my husband with coeliac disease. The large modern room had very comfortable beds. The quiet, dark room made for excellent sleep. The bar and restaurant had exceptional views. The swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room were all excellent, with a small pool for little ones. The hotel offered excellent customer service, even when there was a mistake with the dinner reservation at the restaurant. They offered a full discount and complimentary drinks without any hassle.

Felt very welcome, no reason to complain.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was lovely and the bed was very comfy. The hotel staff were very good, nice and friendly. They even gave us a drinks token for my wife's birthday, which was a nice touch. I also appreciated the little touches, like the complimentary bottle of wine in our room and the roll away bed for our daughter. The hotel facilities were great, especially the pool, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi. The cleanliness of the hotel was impressive, and I loved the location on Micklegate with a balcony view of the racecourse. this was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

There was nothing I didn't like.
