We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The location was very convenient as it was right in the town centre, close to all the shops and restaurants. The hotel facilities were fantastic, and we particularly loved the attention to detail in the room. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the room had both a bath and a shower, which added a touch of luxury. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially the girl at reception who impressed us with her skills. Additionally, the breakfast provided was excellent and well-organised, ensuring a great start to the day.

The hotel building had an elegant design and provided a generally comfortable stay. Despite being in the annex rooms, the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered was of good quality and the soundproofing in the room was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep.

Had a fantastic Christmas stay with lovely decorations, great food, and friendly staff. Enjoyed the spacious rooms with high ceilings and the in-room ironing facilities. the hotel's location was ideal, very close to a nearby gym, and within walking distance of shops and restaurants.

The breakfast was a bit lacklustre and seemed to get busy, making it difficult for staff to keep up. the hot water in the morning was non-existent and left me with no choice but to take a warm bath.

I recently stayed at the Mercure in Darlington for a weekend getaway. The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to explore the town and enjoy the various facilities nearby. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. The staff were lovely and welcoming, especially Anne on the front desk and bar. I appreciated the well-organized amenities, such as the cups, coffee, and tea bags. Additionally, the hotel provided free WiFi with a decent speed of 5Mbps. The small luggage rack in the room and the multiple power outlets near the desk and bed were convenient features.
