Great location for exploring the beautiful Peak District, Derbyshire, and Sheffield. Peaceful and quiet, surrounded by nature. the cottages are cozy and well-equipped for self-catering, with everything you need in the kitchen. the courtyard at the back of the cottage is a lovely space to relax and enjoy the breeze. the bed in our cottage was huge and very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. We also enjoyed breakfast at the on-site cafe, which served delicious food and gave us a discount as cottage guests.

In terms of instructions and signage, such as clearer directions to the lake cafe and better guidance on where to dispose of rubbish and dog waste. A fan in the cottage would have been appreciated during hot days.

We had a fantastic stay at a cottage in this country club. The property exceeded our expectations, with its spaciousness and cleanliness. It was incredibly cozy and warm, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. The secure garden was a bonus, perfect for our dog to run around and enjoy. This cottage is ideal for a small family looking to unwind and relax during the summer, even offering a barbecue setup. The hotel's location was convenient, with a few minutes walk to dog-friendly pubs serving delicious food. We also loved the nearby cafe, which even had a menu specifically for dogs. our stay was lovely and we would definitely come back.

Beautiful location and easy check-in and check-out. The cottage had a cozy and traditional feel with old windows and a lovely Christmas tree. The bed was warm and comfortable, and the cottage was well equipped for a few nights away. Also, there was a great pub just a short walk away.

There were a few minor issues that affected my stay. The strong smell of cooked food was a bit off-putting, and the sofa became uncomfortable after a short while.

I stayed at Barlow Country Club - Mill Farm Cottages for a short break and was amazed by the stunning location. The cottage was well-equipped and beautifully decorated, with a new walk-in shower room. Joanne, our host, was exceptional and made our stay even better. The grounds, lakes, and walks were absolutely breathtaking, and I only wish we had more time to explore. The staff were friendly and the beds were very comfy. The cottage was also conveniently located for visiting local attractions.

As a disabled person, I was impressed with the accessibility of the facilities. The cottage had ramps and wide doorways, making it easy for me to navigate. Plus, the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.

The small, enclosed garden at the back was great for letting your dog out. Deliveries from various takeaways, restaurants, and shops were available, making it convenient for any additional needs.

We had a wonderful stay at a comfortable cottage with parking and WiFi access. the property was even bigger than expected and impeccably clean. the bed was incredibly comfortable and the sheets and towels were soft and clean. the surrounding walks in the park were lovely, and we enjoyed some delicious meals at the onsite café. the secure garden was perfect for our dog to run around in, and we can imagine how amazing it would be to relax and have a BBQ there in the summer. the nearby pubs that serve food and are dog-friendly were a great bonus. All in all, a fantastic place for a small family getaway.

We stayed in Bluebell cottage with a kitchen/lounge, bathroom, and a super king bedroom. Comfortable, clean, quiet, and well-located for Chesterfield and the Peak District. Walking distance to good pub restaurants, an excellent cafe/bakery, and a cafe by the fishing lakes. Well served for a country location!

It truly felt like a home away from home for our family. the value for money was outstanding, and we appreciated the freedom and flexibility of staying in a spacious house with all the homely facilities we needed. the cottage itself was stylish and full of quaint character, with three large and comfortable double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a dining room, a country kitchen, and a lovely enclosed private garden. the location was perfect for exploring the beautiful area and enjoying outdoor activities, and we were pleasantly surprised by the dog-friendly atmosphere. the communication from the owners was helpful, and they provided support without being intrusive. Incredible location, surrounded by beautiful walks and stunning scenery. The Tickled Trout pub across the road is lovely. Comfortable cottages with a few missing amenities. Friendly hosts and a comfortable bed. Spotty wifi, but the hosts offered a solution. Can't wait to return!
