The value for money at Monkstadt 1745 was excellent, with a lovely room full of character and a comfortable bed. The location was remote and exactly what we were looking for, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

During our Christmas stay, we loved the cozy and immaculately clean room at the hotel. It provided the perfect setting for a quiet and peaceful getaway. The location was also great, offering a sense of remoteness and tranquility that we were looking for. The beautiful surroundings, with misty mornings and breathtaking views, added to the charm of our stay. we thoroughly enjoyed the excellent food offered at the hotel. The five-course dinner menu was a highlight, with each dish melting in our mouths and making us feel like we were dining in a special setting. the ambiance and attention to detail made our Christmas experience truly memorable.

There were a few drawbacks to our stay. the distance from any food and shops was quite inconvenient, making it necessary to rely solely on the hotel's offerings.

The set menu for dinner can be limiting for guests staying more than one night.

I had the most amazing experience staying at a charming and beautifully restored historic house. the room, called Flora, was incredibly comfortable and the shower room was excellent. the attention to detail was impressive, with a micro fridge stocked with water and a small bottle of fresh milk. the staff were friendly and helpful, recommending a nearby restaurant for dinner which turned out to have great food. the breakfast selection was fantastic, with both hot and cold options to choose from. This stay was the highlight of our Scotland tour and offered great value for money.

We had a delightful stay at Monkstadt 1745 Luxury Lodge. The staff made us feel special from arrival to departure. The beautifully restored old house had lots of character and the room was exceptional in its look and style. The food was amazing, both the evening meal and breakfast. A truly authentic and memorable experience.

The service provided by the staff was exceptional, they were attentive and knowledgeable. The breakfast was delicious, and I even got to enjoy some special pancakes on Pancake Day. The use of the bar was a great addition, and it added to the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of the lodge. The large, cozy bed was incredibly comfortable and made for a great night's sleep. the availability for pets to stay was a major advantage for me.

Due to the time of year, many local restaurants and pubs were closed, including the one at the lodge. This meant we had to venture out for meals instead of being able to relax and enjoy the lodge.

The setting was quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The breakfast and evening meals were outstanding, with a 10/10 rating. The quality of the food was exceptional, and the evening meal was reasonably priced.

I had a wonderful stay at a charming boutique-style house in a beautiful natural setting. The rooms were lovely, although the bedding was a bit soft for my liking. The staff provided excellent personal service, offering recommendations for local walks and sharing their extensive knowledge about the Isle of Skye. The breakfast was delicious, and I even had pancakes on Pancake Day upon my request. The bar was a great addition, allowing for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend this hotel for a cozy and enjoyable stay.

I particularly enjoyed reading about the fascinating history of the hotel in the in-room binder. The highlight of my stay was the five-course dinner, which was a culinary delight that melted in my mouth. The setting of the dining room with the sheep playing in the fields as the sun set was truly picturesque. I also appreciated the cozy library room where I could enjoy a cup of coffee and a dram by the fireplace. The location of the hotel was perfect, allowing me to explore nearby attractions like Kilt Rock/Mealt Falls, Old Man of Storr, and the Quiraing. I had a five-star experience and would highly recommend Monkstadt for its exceptional service, fantastic location, and delightful food.

The breakfast experience could have been improved by providing clearer instructions. It was a bit confusing to figure out that toast and juice were self-service, and we were surprised that the breakfast menu only offered cereal as a starter and limited options for the main course.

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful property! Jamie, the owner, was charming and shared the fascinating story of his family's ownership and restoration of the lodge. the room exceeded our expectations with its luxurious decor, and the location was exactly what we were looking for - peaceful and remote. the breakfast, made to order with plenty of options, was lovely and fresh. the highlight, however, was the outstanding 5 or 7 course dinner, which was a gourmet delight. We highly recommend this property, and a special shout-out to Hendrick the dog.
