We had a wonderful stay at a lovely self-contained 2 bed property next to the Inn. The staff at Old Coach House were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The location in the countryside was fantastic, offering beautiful scenery and a peaceful atmosphere. The beds were comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. With a separate entrance, it was nice and quiet, allowing us to relax and unwind. it was a fantastic experience and we would definitely recommend staying here. We look forward to coming back in the future.

As low-budget travelers, we loved the warm and welcoming staff, cozy rooms, and picturesque views. The location was perfect, with village amenities and beautiful walks right on our doorstep. And we appreciated the convenience of having the pub just a few steps away for drinks and breakfast. it was a great experience for budget-conscious travelers like us.

As three cyclists tackling the English Coast to Coast, the location of this hotel was perfect. We were warmly welcomed by the owners and they even opened the kitchen for us on a Sunday evening, ensuring we had a hot meal after a long day of cycling. The owners went above and beyond by lending us a pair of sunglasses when one of our party couldn't find theirs. The hotel had secure bike storage, comfortable rooms, and a lounge area with all the necessary amenities. The nearby Golden Lion served delicious food, especially the pies. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was amazing. we loved our stay at this hotel.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The scenery surrounding the hotel is breathtaking, with hills and a river just a stone's throw away. the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. the breakfast was a standout feature, freshly cooked and delicious.

Although the rooms were clean, they were quite outdated and lacked some basic amenities. the lighting was poor, making it difficult to see in the evenings, and there was a musty smell in the entrance.

The value for money at this place was excellent and the room was absolutely superb - tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The location was wonderful, with the old pub adding loads of character. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even accommodating my early check-in request.

The unexpected roast pork dinner and apple crumble were delicious. We loved the proximity of the footpath for walks with our pet dog. The staff took time to show us around and made us feel comfortable. The super-comfy bed and clean room were great. The homemade pies for dinner were yummy.

I had a fantastic stay in this hotel in the stunning Weardale countryside. The location, situated on the road across the moors to Langdon Beck, was perfect for observing the beautiful Black Grouse at their lek. The hotel facilities, including a cosy pub, were great for relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing a warm welcome and offering useful local knowledge. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, with fresh and tidy rooms. The breakfasts were delicious, cooked to order and satisfying. Ample parking was available, making it convenient for guests with their own transportation.

The hearty breakfasts are delicious, and the picturesque views of the North Pennines add to the charm. Guests can relax in the lounge area downstairs, equipped with a TV and a sink.

Some guests have found the steep steps into the property to be a bit challenging, especially when wet and slippery.
