Lovely stay

We recently stayed at a charming hotel set in beautiful grounds. The room was full of character, with period charm and luxurious touches like handmade flapjacks. The food was interesting and delicious, especially the 5 course tasting menu. Although the portions weren't huge, there was plenty to enjoy. The quiet atmosphere and courteous staff made our stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel for a memorable and unique experience.

The surroundings were beautiful, with well-maintained gardens overflowing with gorgeous flowers. The staff were wonderful, providing a warm and welcoming check-in experience. The restaurant staff were attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. The room we stayed in, the Deluxe Queen Room, was lovely and had all the necessary amenities, including a well-made bed, TV. The hotel also provided environmentally-friendly toiletries, which we appreciated. this hotel exceeded our expectations and we would definitely return.

The room we were given on the second try was better than the first, with a large and comfy bed. the converted pigsty we stayed in had a lovely view of an open meadow and was clean and beautifully decorated. We also enjoyed the freshly made fruit compote for breakfast.

The first room we were given was small, with a non-working heating and located at the back of the hotel. the carpet in the hotel stairs looked worn and shabby, and some furniture in the bedroom was scuffed and scratched.

The hotel had a lovely setting outside the city, and our large room was clean and spacious. We were impressed with the Neal's Yard products in the bathroom, and our kids loved seeing the animals outside. The breakfast was one of the best we've had, and the staff, especially Jordan, were attentive, friendly, and professional.

Excellent customer service! We had a special occasion and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary requirements. The attention to detail was outstanding, from offering alternative butter to providing a fantastic wine flight. The dishes were superbly cooked and the overall experience was on par with a Michelin-starred restaurant. I would highly recommend this hidden gem in Wiltshire to friends and family. a memorable dining experience.

The location was excellent, situated between two nearby cities. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the hotel facilities were top-notch. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom was commendable, and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Additionally, the breakfast served was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from.

We had the most incredible dining experience during our stay at Moonraker. The tasting menu was absolutely exceptional, with every course surpassing our expectations. The wine pairings complemented the dishes perfectly, showcasing the thoughtful selection by the staff. On top of that, the breakfasts were consistently delicious and up to the same high standard. The outstanding food truly made our stay memorable.

We had a delightful stay at The Moonraker. The staff went above and beyond, despite being short-handed during dinner. Our room in the main house was cozy but comfortable, and we loved the quirky charm of the hotel. The fact that they are dog-friendly and allow dogs in the restaurant was a huge bonus. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the food at dinner was excellent. The hotel is conveniently located for exploring Wiltshire and North Somerset.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable and left us with a restless night's sleep. the dinner menu lacked imagination and the food was underwhelming, with overcooked fish and chewy lamb.
