The location was great - I could walk to Chesterfield center in about 40 minutes, passing through lovely footpaths and even a exercise park and recreation area. One day, I took a beautiful walk to Linacre Reservoirs on a hot day. The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for me. They even had water in the bedroom, which was a nice touch. Everything was very clean, and the food at the hotel was excellent, especially the curry night deal.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The room was clean and comfortable, with a great shower that was recently updated. The hotel is well located, being close to the centre of town and also a convenient base for exploring the Peak District. Additionally, the breakfast provided was delicious and served promptly, ensuring I started my day off right.

unpleasant check-in experience

I recently stayed at Olde House in Chesterfield for a family wedding. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that I had all the rooms I needed for my group. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had comfortable beds with great bedding. I appreciated the tea and coffee provided, as well as the option for extra guests with the bed-settees. The location was convenient, with nearby eateries and supermarkets. The housekeeper went above and beyond, providing shampoo and asking if we needed anything else. a pleasant stay.

We stayed at Olde House for a short time and it was perfect for our needs. The staff, especially Terri, were welcoming and friendly. The location was ideal and our room was spacious, clean, and had a comfortable king-sized bed. The bathroom was spectacular and the amenities provided, including fluffy towels and toiletries, were a nice touch. The hotel also kept our misplaced jewellery safe and the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was nicely situated away from the pub, making it a peaceful and relaxing stay. The rooms were clean and spacious, with comfortable beds and en-suite facilities. The highlight was the powerful shower over the bath, perfect for a refreshing start to the day. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing excellent service throughout our stay.

We stayed in a comfortable room with control of the heating, and the staff were very welcoming. The hotel is conveniently located not far from the town centre and has a pub which also serves as a reception area. The restaurant offers a range of good food and the bar has a good range of drinks at reasonable prices. Additionally, there was a cold buffet and freshly cooked hot food for breakfast.

The toilets in the main bar don't have locks and can be quite cold.

I had a great experience during my New Year stay at this hotel. the room was really comfortable, with a king-size bed that ensured a good night's sleep. In terms of location, the hotel was conveniently situated close to the main road, making it easy to access. the hotel offered free Wi-Fi, which was a big advantage for me as I needed to stay connected during my trip.

One small issue I encountered was the limited selection of tea and coffee sachets in the room. Only two were provided, which meant I could only have one drink during my evening arrival and wouldn't be able to enjoy a cup of tea in the morning.

Conveniently located near major roads and ample parking. the staff was friendly and accommodating. the breakfast had a wide variety of options.

The bathroom was a bit outdated and could use some renovation. the restaurant and bar were understaffed during peak hours and sometimes service was slow.

This was my third stay at this lovely little Marton's property, and I was once again impressed. The staff were fantastic and super friendly, and the room was comfortable and clean. I particularly enjoyed the dinner and breakfast options, with a few healthier choices available alongside the pies and chips. The chef even came out to ensure that I enjoyed my meal, which was a pleasant bonus. The bed was very comfortable, and the spacious room with its high ceiling made me feel at ease. The lady managing the restaurant and check-in/out was especially friendly and the breakfast, although an additional cost, was well worth it. The full English breakfast was made with good produce and cooked to perfection. The two ladies serving breakfast provided excellent service. I made sure to thank them on my way out. Despite a wedding taking place during my stay, there was no disruption at all. I will always choose to stay at this property when I need accommodations in the area.

The rooms were lovely, breakfast was great, powerful shower, staff were superb, great location for the Peaks and Yorkshire Moors, no noise in the room.

The value for money was excellent with a comfortable and spacious room that was much better than other budget hotels. The location was convenient, close to our friends' house, and the staff were exceptional, providing excellent service during a difficult time.
