The communal areas and some of the recently refurbished rooms were quite nice. the entrance lobby, dining room, and bar area had a lovely atmosphere. the friendly and professional staff at the reception and bar were helpful.

My room was not up to par. It was small and had issues with wind noise due to ill-fitting windows.

The location of the hotel is superb, right on the seafront with stunning views. It's a stone's throw away from the beach and provides easy access to various restaurants and local shops. The rooms, particularly the ones with balconies, offer incredible vistas. The beds are comfortable and the decor inside is pretty. The staff are friendly and approachable, ensuring a hassle-free check-in and check-out process. The dining room and reception area are beautiful, adding to the overall pleasant ambiance.

There were some areas of the hotel that were worn and tired, particularly near the toilets downstairs.

Enjoyed the complementary wine and chocolates, plus the Christmas atmosphere was wonderful with decorations and lights all around. Location was great, right in the heart of the city and easy to get to all the major attractions. Having a view of the sea made the stay more enjoyable.

The staff were very kind, charming, and enthusiastic, which made a great impression. The dinner I had at the hotel's Dukes Bar was excellent. The cleanliness of the rooms was top-notch, with a very clean bathroom and provisioned amenities. The breakfast buffet offered a wonderful selection, including a full English breakfast, juices, cereals, fresh fruit salad, and pastries. The location of the hotel was perfect, close to shops, the shore, and opposite open parkland with a beautiful view of the sea. Additionally, having an onsite carpark was a great convenience.

Our one-night stay at Queens was absolutely lovely! The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, from carrying our cases up the stairs to fetching us new key cards. The decor throughout the hotel was stunning and the balcony view was breathtaking. We stayed in a family room which was perfect for our kids, with a cot provided and an extra mattress for our 4-year-old. The location was ideal, close to Portsmouth quay, and the breakfast was delicious.

With Gunwharf Quays just a short drive away, guests can enjoy shopping and entertainment options within proximity. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, providing a fan upon request to alleviate the stuffiness in the room. Although the water flow in the shower was inconsistent, the beds were incredibly comfortable. The hotel also boasts a refurbished restaurant and bar, with a lovely decoration and delicious food at reasonable prices.

The hotel lacked proper heating, making the rooms and common areas uncomfortably cold during the winter season.

We stayed at the Queens Hotel for a couple of nights and had a fantastic experience. The location right by the sea was perfect, and our room was incredibly spacious. Having a fridge in the room was a nice touch, and we appreciated the provided kettle and clean glasses. The hotel was bustling with various events, which added to the lively atmosphere.

We arrived at about 12 and asked if we could park our car before checking in. The staff informed us that there was a parking fee, which we were surprised by. However, they were kind enough to waive the fee and allowed us to park for free. The room we stayed in had a great view and the breakfast service and food were excellent. I would recommend this hotel for its helpful staff and enjoyable amenities.

I recently stayed at The Queens Hotel for a weekend getaway and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. My premium room was spacious and comfortable, with a good bed and plenty of storage space. The hotel's location near the ocean allowed for fantastic views of the Isle of Wight and the bustling maritime activity. Plus, the proximity to the hovercraft dock was a huge bonus for my trips to the island.
