My stay at The Rising Sun was fantastic. The room was spacious and had everything I needed, including a super cosy bed. The food at the restaurant was superb and great value for money. The new owners were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I also loved the picturesque walk along the river with my dog. it was an excellent experience.

The 16th century pub charm was evident with low beams and sloping floors, giving it a unique character. Our room, Exmoor, was comfortable with a cozy bed and a spacious, clean bathroom. The hosts even left a thoughtful decanter of port for us. The breakfast was delicious and filling, offering both continental and full English options. The fact that they allowed our dog to stay with us for just £10 extra a night was a major plus. The free, ample parking was convenient as well. If you're looking for an authentic, unpretentious pub experience, this is the place for you.

It would have been nice to have hooks in the bathroom for wet towels.

The parking facilities were excellent, very safe and convenient. The staff was very friendly and attentive, providing great service. The clean and comfortable rooms were a highlight, with every corner spotlessly clean.

One small downside was the lack of chairs in the room, as there was only one available. It would have been nice to have an extra chair for the second person.
