One of my favorite aspects was the delicious Christmas dinner that was served. the food was top-notch, with a fantastic selection of dishes that catered to everyone's taste.

While the location and staff were exceptional, I did have a couple of minor issues. the bar area was a little outdated and could have done with some modernization.

We recently stayed at The Royal for a family trip and it was fantastic! The location by the beach was perfect and we enjoyed the charming and characterful atmosphere of the old building. The Pitt room was huge and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. The staff were exceptional, cheerful, and helpful throughout our stay. The restaurant had a wide choice of delicious food and the cooked-to-order breakfast was excellent. we were more than happy with our stay at The Royal.

For the price we paid, the value was fantastic and the room exceeded our expectations. Despite the age of the building, it was cozy and warm, with working plumbing and a comfortable bed. The location was absolutely perfect and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

But hey, it's not all doom and gloom. I will say that the location of the hotel was pretty good. It was close to some shops and restaurants, which was convenient. Plus, it was only a short walk away from the beach, which was nice. Another thing I liked was that there was a 24-hour car park nearby. It made parking a lot easier, especially during the busy holiday season. But honestly, those were the only redeeming qualities of this place. I definitely won't be staying here again.

Our weekend stay was lovely, with friendly and helpful staff and a prime location right on the seafront. the large family room we stayed in was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with a great view of the ocean from the balcony. We particularly enjoyed the quality breakfast ingredients and a well-priced wine selection, with staff who knew exactly what they were doing.

The food quality wasn't up to our expectations, and the waitress at times seemed a bit snappy and unaccommodating, making us feel like we were in her way. some of the hotel's facilities, such as the bathroom, could use some updating, though we acknowledge that the hotel is an old, atmospheric building that may not appeal to those seeking modern.
