Lovely B&B in a stunning location, surrounded by beautiful scenery. The nearby river and lake are perfect for swimming and the walks from the lodge offer breathtaking views. The hosts, Helena and Mark, were extremely helpful and accommodating. Our room may have been on the smaller side, but it was comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfasts were delicious and the towels provided were luxurious. The convenient bus stops right outside the B&B made exploring the area a breeze. Despite a few minor maintenance issues, our stay at Rydal Lodge was truly enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel.

The owners of this charming country house were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay. With stunning views and plenty of lovely walks nearby, we couldn't have asked for a better location. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options, and the cozy snug room with a fireplace and board games provided great entertainment.

One aspect we found slightly inconvenient was the traffic noise in the morning coming from the road-facing rooms.

stayed here before in ambleside, but rydal lodge exceeded expectations during a wedding ceremony. incredible staff, loads of information about ambleside, free wi-fi and parking. faultless stay, will definitely come again.

Tired and grubby bedrooms.

We loved our stay at this beautiful country house. The location was perfect for exploring Windermere, Grasmere, and Ambleside, with a bus stop right outside. The gardens were stunning, and we enjoyed sitting by the river, watching the wildlife. The breakfast included in our stay was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. The room was comfortable and clean, and the ensuite bathroom was of a high standard. The owners were extremely friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They even added decaffeinated tea sachets to our room, which was a lovely touch.

rydal lodge b&b in ambleside was even better than our previous stay. the hosts were friendly and the breakfast was delicious. the beautiful garden and private access to the lake were magical. the caring nature of the owners made our stay memorable.

The country lane walk to Ambleside was picturesque and only took 30 minutes. The hosts were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with walking routes. The breakfast was brilliant, with vegan options and oat milk available. The cosy rooms were spacious and clean, and the stunning garden by the river was a relaxing spot. a 10/10 experience!

We recently stayed at a delightful B&B surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the national park. the Loughrigg Suite at Rydal Lodge was full of charm with its quirky layout, uneven floors, and cozy nooks. the room had a lounge area, en suite bathroom, and a spacious bedroom. We were impressed by the high-quality hot drinks selection and the provision of fresh milk. the bathroom amenities, including shampoo and body wash, were of top-notch quality. the fluffy towels and Egyptian cotton bedding added a touch of luxury to our stay. We also enjoyed the well-stocked Honesty Bar and the peaceful riverside garden, perfect for unwinding and observing local wildlife.
