We had a fantastic weekend at a perfect English inn. The staff was wonderful to us, extremely helpful and very friendly. The food was exceptionally good and we were impressed with everything about this hotel. The room was very nice with a beautiful view. The location was perfect for exploring the peaks and we found plenty of local walks right from the door. Despite the small bed, we were still comfortable during our stay. we highly recommend this hotel for a short stay.

I recently stayed at a 4-star hotel in the Peak District and had a fantastic experience. The location was ideal for exploring the beautiful Hope Valley, away from the crowds and parking issues of Bakewell. The views from the hotel were absolutely amazing, and I enjoyed waking up to such a picturesque scene. The staff at this place were not only polite and friendly, but they were also extremely helpful and considerate. They made my stay even more enjoyable with their exceptional service. All in all, a great place to stay and I will definitely return.

We stayed at Sir William for a weekend getaway in the Peak District. The room was spacious and clean, with fantastic views. The staff, although young and inexperienced, were friendly and helpful. The bedding was fresh and the bed was comfortable, although room 7 had a low bed which may not be suitable for those with knee issues. The location was perfect for exploring the Hope Valley area and only a short drive from Bakewell. The hotel had ample parking and the room had controllable heating, preventing it from getting too hot. We couldn't hear any noise from the bar or restaurant downstairs.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming hotel to mark the start of my retirement, and it was a delightful experience. the room I booked came with a lovely view, and it was definitely worth the extra cost. the evening meal at the pub was not only tasty, but also plentiful and served hot. the menu offered a great variety, even for non-meat eaters. I was impressed by the fresh and well-cooked meals. In the bedroom, I found the bed to be comfortable, the tea tray well-stocked, and the hot water in the bathroom was a nice touch. Although there was no Wi-Fi in the bedrooms, everything else was top-notch. At breakfast, the standard was equally excellent, with the food being tasty, plentiful, and served by attentive staff. It was truly a special treat to start my retirement journey, and I can't wait to come back to this superb hotel.

We had a fantastic stay here! The location was exactly where we wanted to be, bringing back memories of when we used to camp in this area and my spouse used to climb at Stanage. The staff were all fantastic - so polite, friendly, and helpful. The room service, housekeeping, and laundry services were excellent. We appreciated the pet amenities for our furry friend. The room itself had great amenities like ironing facilities, tea and coffee facilities, a sitting area, and a terrace with beautiful views. The free Wi-Fi in the rooms was a bonus. The dining experience at the restaurant was delightful, and the bar/lounge area was a great spot to relax. it was a wonderful place to stay and we will definitely be returning.

The location of this hotel was perfect for our romantic escape. We were able to avoid all the hustle and bustle of the city which allowed us to enjoy the beautiful views over the valley as well as go for some lovely walks in the surrounding area. the room was very clean and well equipped, the bed was nice and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the delicious food, it was a great way to start and end our days.

The bathroom shower was quite small which made it a bit difficult to use, but this was a minor downside. Nonetheless, overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Had a wonderful Christmas stay at this hotel. the food was absolutely delicious and the service was top-notch. the staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. the location was perfect, with stunning views of the surrounding scenery. It was also conveniently located near local attractions and activities, making it easy to explore the area. Another advantage was the ample parking available, which made it convenient for us to bring our own car.

Although our overall experience was great, there were a few minor negatives. the room we stayed in had a small issue with the paint around the door handle and there was a spider web in the corner of the room.
