We had a fantastic stay at Somerton Lodge in Shanklin. The owner, Agnes, greeted us warmly and showed us around. Our room was clean and spacious, with a powerful shower and a comfortable bed. The communal lounge was bright and airy, and we enjoyed relaxing in the front garden. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were polite and friendly. We loved the welcoming atmosphere, with all the residents chatting and greeting each other. We will definitely stay here again, especially since there is a bus stop right outside.

The curtains in the room could have been cleaner, as they showed marks due to their cream color.

The staff at Somerton Lodge were incredibly friendly and made me feel completely welcome. The entire hotel was impeccably clean and had a fresh scent throughout. The lounge and TV room were well-appointed and provided a comfortable space to relax. The bar, although small, offered reasonably priced drinks. In my spacious bedroom, I had tea-making facilities and the staff even went out of their way to provide soy milk for my lactose intolerance. The breakfast was delicious, with perfectly poached eggs. The well-maintained gardens and the tree-lined street added to the beauty of the location. The attentive staff, along with the quality bed linen, towels, and memory foam mattress, made for a peaceful and comfortable stay. Somerton Lodge felt like a home away from home. I have already recommended it to my friends and family, and I would gladly stay there again if I ever find myself on the Isle of Wight.

The room I stayed in had two single beds and was well-equipped and beautifully decorated. Despite being centrally located, the hotel was quiet, allowing for a great night's sleep. The included breakfast was excellent value for money. I highly recommend Somerton Lodge for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The shower in the room was outdated and difficult to use. the water pressure was weak and there was no shelf in the shower to hold toiletries.

The clean and quiet rooms provided the perfect setting for a short break away from the usual routine. The homely atmosphere of the hotel made us feel comfortable and at ease. The breakfast offered a good variety of choices and the dining room and lounge area were lovely.

We highly recommend Somerton Lodge and will definitely be returning on our next visit.
