We had a fantastic stay at Somerton Lodge in Shanklin. The owner, Agnes, greeted us warmly and showed us around. Our room was clean and spacious, with a powerful shower and a comfortable bed. The communal lounge was bright and airy, and we enjoyed relaxing in the front garden. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were polite and friendly. We loved the welcoming atmosphere, with all the residents chatting and greeting each other. We will definitely stay here again, especially since there is a bus stop right outside.

The lounge area provided a cozy atmosphere to relax in, and the garden offered a peaceful retreat. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was well-maintained. it was a fantastic stay that I would highly recommend.

The curtains in the room could have been cleaner, as they showed marks due to their cream color.

My stay at Somerton Lodge was absolutely wonderful. I was on a trip to the Isle of Wight and stayed at the hotel for two nights. The staff at Somerton Lodge were incredibly friendly and made me feel completely welcome. The entire hotel was impeccably clean and had a fresh scent throughout. The lounge and TV room were well-appointed and provided a comfortable space to relax. The bar, although small, offered reasonably priced drinks. In my spacious bedroom, I had tea-making facilities and the staff even went out of their way to provide soy milk for my lactose intolerance. The breakfast was delicious, with perfectly poached eggs. The well-maintained gardens and the tree-lined street added to the beauty of the location. The attentive staff, along with the quality bed linen, towels, and memory foam mattress, made for a peaceful and comfortable stay. Somerton Lodge felt like a home away from home. I have already recommended it to my friends and family, and I would gladly stay there again if I ever find myself on the Isle of Wight.

The room I stayed in had two single beds and was well-equipped and beautifully decorated. Despite being centrally located, the hotel was quiet, allowing for a great night's sleep. We also loved the beautifully decorated communal spaces in the hotel, which were perfect for relaxing and unwinding. the location of the hotel was ideal, as it was quiet and peaceful, providing the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing holiday.

One minor issue we had during our stay was the lack of accessible plug points in the bedroom. It would have been convenient to have a plug next to the bed for charging our mobile devices.

We had a fantastic stay at a lovely Victorian house with well-maintained grounds and ample parking. the room was clean and equipped with everything we needed, including a modern bathroom. the hosts went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and even provided helpful information about nearby pubs and restaurants. the self-service bar was a convenient feature, and the breakfast was excellent. We highly recommend Somerton Lodge and will definitely be returning on our next visit.
