The last time I visited this hotel was many years ago, and I must say, this time was even better! Julie, who welcomed me at the reception, was like a pro - efficient. the room was a dream - quiet, beautifully decorated, and super comfy. the handmade shortbread biscuits were a delightful touch! I loved that the room had a balcony where I could relax, and the bed was heavenly. the in-room breakfast was just what I needed, and the location is great, with excellent food spots close by.

If I were to nitpick, I'd suggest adding a handle to the second wardrobe door. But honestly, it didn't bother me as everything else was perfect.

I recently stayed at South Lodge for a weekend getaway and it was absolutely amazing. The hosts were incredibly attentive and the room was exactly as described. The attention to detail in the decor was noticeable and the property was beautifully presented. The breakfast options, especially the plum compote and American pancakes, were delicious. If you're looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay, I highly recommend South Lodge.

The lodge offers a truly exceptional breakfast, with a wide variety of options including plum compote and American pancakes. The property is beautifully presented both inside and out, with modern decor and lovely artwork and sculptures on display. Guests can enjoy the large enclosed garden, and there is even a hostess trolley available. The rooms are well-appointed, with low beds that are safe for toddlers and high-quality REN toiletries.

The curtains in the rooms could be improved, as they allow too much light in, potentially causing an early wake-up call for light-sensitive sleepers.

The breakfast was satisfying and tasteful. the hosts were friendly and professional. the room had a comfortable bed and a good-sized bathroom. the location was convenient for visiting nearby tourist attractions.

The interior design and decor were not to my taste and seemed outdated. the outdoor area was small and not very appealing.

We were amazed by the attention to detail at this B&B. Our room was immaculate and had fresh milk and homemade biscuits waiting for us. The luxurious and welcoming atmosphere set an exceptionally high standard for future trips. The delicious breakfasts were the perfect way to start our days. we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!

Beautifully decorated studio with a huge bed, tasteful decor, and a lovely bathroom. Prosecco and balloons for a special occasion. Outstanding full English breakfast with homemade preserves. Excellent facilities and warm, attentive hosts.

Staying at this hotel was an absolute delight. the room was spacious and filled with luxurious amenities, including a Nespresso machine and a mini, fridge. the private facilities were top, notch, with a beautiful sun terrace and outdoor dining area. the service was friendly and prompt, making us feel like royalty. the location was also a plus, providing easy access to lovely walks in the nearby nature reserve.

The only minor issue we had was with the beach umbrellas. the ones provided were not very stable and kept blowing over in the wind, making it difficult to enjoy the sun terrace to its fullest.
