I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in a charming little village. The attention to detail was evident in the beautiful fresh bedding on the very comfortable bed. The staff provided excellent service, and the in-room amenities were great, including an excellent shower. The disabled access was also a plus. And let's not forget the delicious breakfast, especially the porridge!

The staff under new management are friendly and updating the rooms. Excellent chef with delicious meals. Helpful and attentive staff that went above and beyond. Breakfast was hot and tasty. Rooms were comfortable and well-prepared.

The hotel's location in a little village along the coast was perfect for us as we wanted to do some touring on our motorbike. Despite being a little remote, it offered a great opportunity to explore the surrounding areas. The staff at this hotel were excellent, with top-notch service that rivaled even four-star establishments. The rooms, situated in an annex behind the restaurant bar, were small but clean and well maintained. And the breakfast, made to order using local produce, was simply divine. The porridge in particular was one of the best I've ever had.

star hotel exceeded my expectations once again during our weekend trip to kirkcudbright. the lovely pub attached was dog-friendly and the staff made us feel so welcome. the food was exceptional, not your typical pub grub. we had a fantastic experience and would happily return.

The hotel is situated in a lovely little village with no facilities, which makes it a peaceful and relaxing retreat. The outdoor seating area is a delight, with plenty of seating and it's a natural sun trap even in the morning. Secondly, the rooms are modern and comfortable, with disabled access which is great for all guests. They are well-equipped with tea and other amenities, and I appreciated the thoughtful welcome basket. Lastly, breakfast was a highlight of my stay. The owner herself oozed confidence and capability, ensuring that my dietary needs as a coeliac were fully catered for. The food was delicious and tailored to my wants, and the service provided by the lovely lady in the saloon bar was exceptional.

All was fine during my stay, no improvements needed.

We had a lovely time, the scenery was breathtaking. the breakfast was nice and made to order. the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We enjoyed the walk around the gardens and the nearby attractions were fantastic.

there were some issues with the food quality and the service, but this could be due to the fact that we visited during peak season. the hotel was not the best value for the price we paid.
