This friendly, no-nonsense pub in a great location offers a big, warm and bright room for a single guest. The large en-suite bathroom has a good shower. The breakfast is exceptionally good, with a full English option. There is ample parking available at the back of the pub. Despite big, noisy parties happening in the pub, there was no noise heard from the room.

I recently stayed at The Ball Alley for a road trip in Northumberland while my partner was ill. The owners, Mike and his wife, were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and filling, and the free parking was a great convenience. I enjoyed chatting with the owners and the locals in the bar. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely rebook.
