As a budget traveller, I loved the warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere at The Bar Convent. The staff made me feel safe and the gardens were a perfect spot to unwind with a book and a glass of wine. The breakfast selection was fantastic and the room had all the necessary amenities. A 10-minute walk from the station and near Micklegate Bar.

The hotel is located very near to the train station, which is perfect for anyone travelling to the city by train. It is also in the perfect place, just a walking distance from the rail station. The service is really good and the staff are very friendly. The basic amenities are available in the rooms, with TV inclusive. The breakfast is amazing, offering additional eggs for breakfast.

We stayed in a lovely Superior room, with a comfortable bed and beautiful bed linen, but struggled with the hot water pressure and air conditioning control panel. The garden was a delightful oasis in the city and the chapel was stunning. We enjoyed the breakfast, although the presentation was inconsistent. we had a charming stay at Bar Convent Guest House.

The room was a bit cramped and didn't offer adequate space for us to relax in after a long day. We found the parking facilities to be quite confusing and stressful, and additional guidance could have been very helpful.
