Room was tidy, but the heater didn’t work—cold as! Breakfast was top notch, heaps of choices. Sweet as! Just wish the stairs were easier, eh?

this place is really unique with a cool history, super close to the station and city. breakfast is delish, especially the full yorkshire! the chapel is always open and has lots of neat stuff to check out. loved chillin in the garden too, it's a nice spot to relax. comfy beds made it all even better!

but checkin in was kinda confusing and it took longer than expected to get in. had a noisy room next to the street which wasn’t great.

Navigating the alternative entrance is confusing!!! Better signage is necessary to avoid wandering next door!!! Hot food not fully included in breakfast – this should be clarified upfront!!! The lift only going to the second floor feels outdated!!!

bar convent guest house is in a nice location just outside micklegate, a short 10-minute walk to the city center. i loved the peaceful atmosphere and the helpful staff made my stay even better. the pantry was a great touch, with everything i needed for a cozy stay.

Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. Missed having air conditioning in a hot room.

However, my room faced the main road, so it was like living next to a very noisy traffic orchestra! Earplugs were my best friend, but I didn't sign up for a concert on my vacation!
