I recently stayed at a charming inn nestled high in the Derbyshire countryside. Situated at an impressive altitude of 380m above sea level, the location offered breathtaking views and easy access to scenic walking trails. The cozy room was well-appointed, featuring a steeply sloping roof and Velux windows for great ventilation. The bathroom had a refreshing shower with both a standard hose and a waterfall option. The friendly staff and delicious breakfast, made from local ingredients, were definite highlights.

I was disappointed by the lack of attention to detail when it came to restocking supplies. The absence of sufficient toilet paper and the need to ask for it to be replenished detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay.

The value for our money at the Barrel Inn was outstanding, with a beautifully designed and furnished room offering home comforts from home. The location was idyllic, with breath-taking views of the Derbyshire Countryside, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.

The breakfast menu could have been better, but the evening food was exceptional.

The cleanliness of the room was top-notch, with spotless facilities and lovely quality bed linen. The hotel facilities were excellent, from the spacious and warm room to the immaculate bathroom. We had a room with stunning views overlooking the valley, and it truly added to the overall experience. Secondly, the service provided by the staff was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm and friendly reception. The attention to detail in the hotel, from the beautiful Christmas decorations to the well-decorated and modern bathrooms, was impressive. Lastly, the breakfast served at this hotel was delicious and plentiful, ensuring we started our day on a high note.

We had a wonderful time at Barrel Inn. The sirloin steak was beautifully cooked, served on a hot plate, and the breakfast was great too! The room, although small, had all the amenities we needed, and the location was amazing. We enjoyed sitting outside in late September, enjoying the good weather and breathtaking views. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. a lovely and relaxing weekend at Barrel Inn.

The location of the inn is absolutely stunning, situated in a beautiful area of the Peak District. It offers breathtaking views of the valley from its garden and is conveniently close to popular tourist hotspots in the region. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, with en-suite bathrooms and facilities for making tea and coffee.

Some guests mentioned a slight smell of drains outside the property, which could be a bit off-putting.
