lovely stay near stourhead. bell & crown impressed with cozy room, outstanding shower, and superb dinner. friendly staff and exceptional breakfast with fresh fruit and pastries made this a fantastic experience during our hill walk.

the rooms were spotless, with excellent facilities including air conditioning. the convenient parking and beautiful countryside location made it a perfect retreat. the breakfast was delicious, served by friendly and attentive staff.

The inn was a bit tricky to reach by phone, but staff were friendly and helpful for a late check-in. Breakfast was decent. The cost was high, but the cozy room and friendly staff made the stay great. the room was small and lacked wardrobes. The setting was lovely, the bed was comfy, and the food was fantastic. Some room for improvement with the car park.

My room was tastefully decorated, with a beautifully refurbished bathroom. the power shower was a luxurious touch, and the fresh coffee, cookies, and water provided made me feel pampered. the breakfast was superb, with a delicious Shakshuka and fresh fruit salad. the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. Despite a few flies in the communal areas, the service and food quality were exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel.

I've just had the most delightful stay at this hotel! the atmosphere is charming and cozy, with stylish rooms and wonderful amenities. the staff, especially Lisa, were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a real treat, with a lovely selection and that bubbly waitress making sure everything was perfect. the surrounding area is incredibly picturesque, with quaint villages and stunning landmarks like King Alfred's Tower and Stourhead nearby.

If I had to nitpick, I'd say the room was a tad small. I also noticed a bit of noise from a chiller pipe outside the bathroom window, which could be a bit bothersome.

Refurbished rooms excellently appointed. Latest TV connectivity, quality coffee, comfortable bed, very clean room. Good breakfast. Staff welcoming, comfortable room, clean bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Bottled water, fluffy towels provided. Good breakfast menu.

The pub had wicked vibes, and the rooms were lit – comfy beds and awesome power showers. the staff were chill and the food was fire. We even hit up the quiz night, such a laugh!

Wish they had a cool hangout spot for late-night squad chill sessions.

Enjoyed activities like cycling near Bath's Roman Baths & Train Station, 42 km away. Free WiFi helped me avoid work emails. Ate a continental breakfast before heading to Longleat House - my kind of morning!

The room was beautifully decorated and had a spacious bathroom with a powerful shower. They provided high-quality coffee, fresh milk, and delicious chocolate cookies, which was a nice touch. The staff was incredibly welcoming and cheerful, making us feel like valued guests.

Our room had some issues. There was a noisy chiller pipe outside the bathroom window, and the room overlooked the beer garden, which meant we had to keep the blind closed.

We had a phenomenal stay at a pub within the Chickpea Group. From the moment we entered, the staff were engaging and showed us to our stunning room. the dinner and vibes in the pub were delicious and enjoyable, and the breakfast in the morning was marvelous. the service throughout our stay was superb, and we cannot wait to return and check out another pub within the Chickpea Group. Highly recommended.

I recently stayed at a charming pub in a picturesque location near Stourhead. The room was cozy, with a very comfortable bed and a good shower. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious, especially the Sunday lunch. The pub had a great atmosphere, and the quiz night was a fun way to meet new people. a fantastic stay!

The room was a bit on the smaller side, but this is understandable given that it's an old building.
