found a great hotel in holmfirth that exceeded my expectations. lovely spot in the countryside, peaceful for early morning runs. friendly staff, comfortable room with tea/coffee facility that actually works. will always stay here for future visits. much easier to park than in holmfirth itself.

My partner and I recently stayed at Boshaw Trout for a weekend getaway. The staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being obtrusive. The bed was really comfortable, and we loved the lovely view from our room. Despite being on a busy road, when the windows were closed, we couldn't hear a thing. We also enjoyed a delicious cajun chicken burger with fries before heading out for the evening. a fantastic experience with a warm welcome, unexpected upgrade, well-kept beer, and fabulous food. The relaxed atmosphere, great playlist, and amazing views added to the charm of our stay. We will definitely be coming back!

The location of the hotel was great, with beautiful views of the surrounding area. the food and drink options were fantastic, with a wide variety to choose from. We especially enjoyed the pie of the day and the excellent selection of ales.

The room we were assigned was quite small and not very practical in terms of layout and furnishings. the noise from the kitchen was quite disruptive, especially in the room located directly above it.

The owner warmly welcomed us back late in the evening and ensured we had everything we needed before bed. the attention to detail in our room was exceptional, from the beautifully decorated double bed to the assortment of teas and biscuits. the modern ensuite bathroom was a great addition. the staff were all amazing, friendly, and efficient, making our stay effortless. the pub also had a dog-friendly atmosphere, which was a bonus.

We had a delightful stay at the Boshaw Trout Bed & Breakfast in Holmfirth. the location, nestled in open countryside just a short distance from the town centre, provided a peaceful and scenic setting. the quiet lanes surrounding the B&B were perfect for an early morning run. Our room was equipped with tea and coffee making facilities that actually worked, unlike a recent trip we had to Rome. We were also pleased to find lovely biscuits waiting for us in the room. Every staff member we encountered was attentive, kind, polite, and friendly. the cleanliness of both the pub area and our room was immaculate. the onsite parking was ample and reasonably priced taxi rides were available for easy access to the town centre.
