The staircase leading to the rooms was quite steep and narrow, which could pose a challenge for guests with heavy luggage or mobility issues.

The atmosphere at the pub was lovely, with no music or games machines, just people enjoying themselves. The selection of real ales was outstanding, and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful. The food was delicious, particularly the smoked platter, which had melt-in-the-mouth brisket and pulled pork. The dessert options were also enjoyable, with the pecan pie being the standout.

The noise level was higher than expected, even with the window closed. The lack of air conditioning in the room meant having to keep the window open on warm evenings, resulting in noise from outside.

Had a great Easter break, loved the spacious room and comfortable bed. The location was perfect, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby and a short walk to the river. Having on-site parking was also a plus.

The noise from the squeaky floorboards in the room above kept us awake at night. Additionally, the lack of double glazing resulted in a lot of traffic noise.
