Wonderful stay at The Carre Arms Hotel. Our room was comfortable and inviting, with an attractive and stylish bathroom. The full English breakfast was thoroughly enjoyable. The young man who served us drinks provided excellent service, recommending delicious vegetarian options. The bar had a relaxing atmosphere. The cleanliness of our room was of a high standard. Despite a minor issue with the bedside lights, the bed and bedding were very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

During my Christmas stay, I particularly enjoyed the freshly cooked breakfast every morning and the festive decorations that were put up throughout the hotel. the location was also great, being close to shops and restaurants and just a short walk away from the town center.

The hotel lacked a bit of maintenance in certain areas. the shower in my room was difficult to operate and the furniture appeared dated.

Despite this, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, with no noise coming from the nearby train tracks or road. the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help. the room was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed, including a good supply of tea and coffee. the bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. I also had dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious, with generous portions. I would highly recommend staying here and I would definitely book again if I'm in the area.

We opted for the vegan option for dinner, a delicious vegetable stroganoff, which exceeded our expectations. the meal was accompanied by a lovely wine selection. the manager even took the time to chat with us during dinner, showing that the hotel truly values their customers. the location was convenient, with free onsite parking and within walking distance to the town. a great experience.

the staff at this place, the Carre Arms Hotel & Restaurant, were amazing. They went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable and were always friendly and professional. the bed in my room was incredibly comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. Despite being on a main road and having a party downstairs, I couldn't hear a thing in my room. I didn't try the breakfast, but the Sunday lunch and light snack for dinner were absolutely delicious. the location of the hotel was convenient, with easy access to town. it was a fantastic stay.
