We had a fantastic stay at The Dukes Head Inn in north Cumbria. The location in a charming village near the river Eden was delightful, offering plenty of opportunities to explore the beautiful Eden Valley and the nearby Lake District. The staff were excellent and made us feel very welcome, and the ambience throughout the inn was friendly and inviting. We were especially impressed with the decor, which was done to a very high standard. Our room was clean and fresh, with nice touches like tea, coffee, and biscuits. The breakfasts were tasty, with flavorful sausages, and we also enjoyed a delicious evening meal, with the fish and chips being particularly outstanding. we had a wonderful experience and highly recommend The Dukes Head Inn. We look forward to staying again when we're back in the area.

The location is convenient, just a short drive off the A6 and M6, making it a perfect stop on a longer journey or as a base to explore Cumbria without the high costs of staying in the Lake District. Highly recommended!
