The spacious family room was perfect for us, and the private patio area was a hit with the little ones. the homemade meals were top-notch, and the peaceful surroundings made for a relaxing getaway.

My wife says that a children's play area would enhance the family experience.

Elephants Nest Inn is perfect for Dartmoor walks, near Tavistock and Lydford Gorge. the peaceful ambiance and lovely garden are heavenly, offering outstanding food and a varied breakfast that keeps you fueled all day. the hosts provide a warm welcome in a rural setting steeped in local history, with comfortable rooms, a perfect pub atmosphere, and exceptional freshly prepared meals.

The food was top, notch, hosts were great, and the room had a sweet private patio , perfect for relaxing with a cuppa. the garden area was lovely for chilling out with a drink before tucking into supper. Maybe a bit more elbow grease in cleaning wouldn't hurt, like the fluff, filled shower extractor fan, but it didn't spoil the fun we had. 🌿.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming inn. the room was clean, bright, and comfortable, with a private garden terrace that offered a lovely, private space to relax. the breakfast was superb, and the evening meals were simply wonderful. the pub had a great selection of ales and wine, and the service was fantastic. the location provided beautiful Dartmoor views, and there was plenty of parking available. it was a great value for the price and we would love to visit again.

This pub is a hidden gem! The quirky decor, delicious food, and friendly staff made my stay delightful. Plus, the comfy bed was so cozy, I didn't want to leave!

Oh, how I loved the grubby corners and loose curtains in the room! And let's not forget the pleasure of sleeping on a mattress that felt like the floor.

The bathroom facilities were amazing, with a great bath and shower to relax in after a rainy day in Dartmoor. The reserved table in the fully booked pub restaurant was a lucky surprise, as the food was spectacular. The beautifully presented and cooked breakfast was the cherry on top. Sitting on the terrace with a cup of tea, enjoying the peacefulness, was pure bliss. We struck gold finding the Elephants Nest Inn.

We had a wonderful break at The Elephant's Nest and hope to be back soon. The food in the restaurant was exceptional - we enjoyed a delicious three-course evening meal and a scrumptious breakfast the next morning. The location is fantastic, offering stunning views of Dartmoor, and we took advantage of one of the recommended walks. Our room was lovely and had all the amenities we needed, including a fridge. The ensuite bathroom had a spacious bath, and we were thrilled to have a private terrace as well.
