The restaurant overlooking the garden creates a tranquil atmosphere, and Highclere Castle is conveniently just a short drive away. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and a well-equipped tea making area. The friendly staff provides excellent service, and the delicious breakfasts are a great start to the day. With its charming surroundings and various facilities, this inn is a wonderful choice for a relaxing getaway.

I had a great stay at this hotel in the Newbury area. their attention to detail was impressive. The staff responded to all our needs and even changed our room to one on the ground floor, which was greatly appreciated. Secondly, the location was perfect. Situated in a quiet area south of Newbury, I enjoyed relaxing in the pretty front garden and large beer gardens of the pub. Lastly, the breakfast was exceptional. Cooked to order and served with a smile, it was the perfect way to start the day.

Despite the overall enjoyable stay, the only minor downside was the spotty cable service.

I stayed at the charming Furze Bush Inn for a couple of nights while visiting Highclere Castle. The staff were incredibly welcoming and the pub/restaurant had a cosy atmosphere. The double room, although small, was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a compact shower, but everything was fresh and towels were provided daily. The highlight was the delicious breakfast and dinner, with friendly staff always on hand to top up toast and hot drinks. I also loved dining in the garden, adding to the overall enjoyable experience.
