The cleanliness of the rooms and ensuite bathroom was impeccable, and the tasteful decor made it feel cosy and comfortable. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The hotel facilities were excellent, with everything we needed right at our fingertips. The location in a lovely area opposite the market hall and right in the centre of the town was ideal, as it made it easy for us to explore and enjoy the local attractions. And let's not forget about the breakfast, which was absolutely delicious.

Although it was a bit warm, the fans provided helped to keep us cool. the bath was a pleasant surprise, especially since we're used to showers nowadays. the breakfast was exceptional, with delicious cooked-to-order options that were plentiful. the staff, particularly those working on Saturday evening, were absolutely brilliant. They were attentive and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Special mention to Pippa, the hotel manager, who couldn't have been more helpful. She even offered to give us a lift when we couldn't find a taxi.

This lovely old pub is in the town centre, close to shops. It's perfect for walkers too, with easy access to the countryside. The rooms are pleasant and the bathrooms are clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious, with a good quality cooked option. The location is excellent, right in the centre of the town.

Some parts of the hotel had decorators debris and were not properly cleaned up.

I recently stayed at The George Hotel for a local family wedding celebration. The location was perfect, in a lovely town with good shops and charming houses. The building itself was beautiful and the main restaurant area had lovely décor. The bed was comfortable and the towels were of good quality. The room was equipped with a selection of tea and coffee. The breakfast was excellent, with delicious coffee, and there was a nice outdoor area where we could enjoy the fresh air.
