The George Hotel in Dorchester-on-Thames is a lovely old building with creaky floors and a charming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and courteous, and the bar area had a good vibe with locals. The restaurant offered a great selection of food, and the full English breakfast was hearty. The location, directly opposite Dorchester Abbey, was perfect.

The Buckinghamshire sights were easily accessible, making it a great base for exploring the area. The service was impeccable, with a young staff member in particular being incredibly friendly and helpful. The room amenities were top-notch, including ironing facilities, heating, and tea and coffee facilities. We loved relaxing on the terrace with the comfortable garden furniture, enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The dining options were excellent, with a delicious breakfast selection and a dining restaurant that offered special diet menus.

We recently stayed at a charming inn in a lovely village near Oxford. The location was perfect, with a local Co Op store and beautiful walks nearby. The room was comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep in the comfy bed. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed our meals at the oldie worldly pub, especially the delicious dinner and mulled wine. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.

The buffet breakfast lacked sufficient staff, resulting in a limited toast offering.

The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring the surrounding area. It's easy to get to Oxford either by bus or car, which was a big plus for me. I also discovered that it's in the Midsummer Murder area, which was a bonus. The room was nice and warm, which is always a big plus in my book. The staff here were really friendly and accommodating. They even cooked up a meal for us despite our late arrival. I had a great experience here.

The only downside of my stay was that my room was located right outside the accommodation, so I could hear all the noise from the staff and customers well into the night. It did disrupt my sleep a bit, but I would still recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Great staff, and the food was definitely a highlight. We especially enjoyed the duck starter and the rabbit ragu. the location is also a plus, as it's close to many local attractions and amenities. the rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable for a city break stay.

The breakfast left something to be desired. They got our order wrong even though we made specific requests, and the food was bland overall.
