The staff were incredibly kind and hospitable, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The service in the restaurant was prompt, and the food was both delicious and reasonably priced. The room was beautiful, with a large and comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. The staff thought of every detail to ensure my comfort, even providing little treats like Ferrero Rocher chocolates and fresh milk for tea. The hotel's location was also ideal for exploring Sussex, with the South Downs and the next village just a short distance away.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming inn. the rooms were beautifully refurbished with tasteful decor, and the staff were lovely and attentive. the food was exceptional, and we enjoyed the ambiance of the old pub out front, where we could unwind with a great beer and listen to local gossip. the location was also convenient, with many lovely places to explore nearby. We cannot wait to visit again and thank the Horse and Groom for a delightful stay.

The central location was great and allowed us to explore easily. the room was modern and well equipped with a comfortable bed and good bathroom amenities. the staff were friendly and helpful which made the stay more enjoyable.

The hotel itself was very welcoming, with a fresh and clean newly decorated room that made us feel right at home. The staff were attentive and friendly, always ensuring that we had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the delicious meals served at the on-site restaurant, with a great menu and fabulous selection of drinks. The service was impeccable, and the staff went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. We also appreciated the free Wi-Fi in the rooms, which allowed us to stay connected throughout our stay.

The hotel was conveniently located, making it easy to travel to and from the city center. the rooms were well decorated, light, and airy, providing a comfortable stay. the pub itself had an old-world charm, and the friendly young couple who owned it made us feel welcome. the breakfast in the morning was excellent, with a wide variety of good quality food to choose from. the staff were friendly and accommodating, providing great service.

It would have been nice to have hair dryers in the bedrooms and a fridge in the room. the prices for the food in the bar and restaurant were a bit higher than expected, considering the location.

We loved the charming ambiance of this historic pub with its friendly staff and comfortable, quirky rooms. The food was excellent and we especially enjoyed the full English breakfast. The hotel's dog-friendly policy and ample car parking were a big plus. We were impressed by the environmentally friendly practices, such as glass milk and water bottles, and locally sourced produce. The pub's individual welcome feeling created by oil paintings and antique furniture added to its charm. We also appreciated the quiet and separate rooms from the pub, making it ideal for our family with 2 small kids.

We had a wonderful stay at the Horse and Groom Inn. the food was exceptional, both at dinner and breakfast. the presentation of the dishes far exceeded our expectations, and the quality of the produce was superb. the pub itself had a calm and elegant country chic decor, with attention to detail in floral decorations. the outside space was quirky and attractive, with a special area for herb beds. the location was great for stunning walks, with maps provided. the rooms were done to a very high standard, with comfortable queen-sized beds and luxurious amenities. the staff, especially Gary the chef, were exceptional, and the pub was dog-friendly, which was a bonus.
