I was pleasantly surprised by the authentic charm and history of The Horseshoe Inn. The building and decor were beautifully updated while still maintaining its integrity. The staff, particularly Owain, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction, even offering us a lift to a wedding we were attending. The continental breakfast was delicious and had a great variety of options. The location was ideal, with stunning scenery and easy access to Crickhowell. Although there were some minor drawbacks, overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

There are plenty of local hikes nearby, including one on the field opposite the inn. The breakfast, cooked to order, had plenty of options. The inn has a lovely character and a nice bar. Free parking is available at the back.

The location was fantastic, just a short 5/10 minute walk into the centre of town. the staff were amazing and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean and comfortable, with modern furnishings. the breakfast was delicious and we loved that we could order whatever we liked. the hotel was not crowded during our stay, so it felt like we had the place to ourselves at times. the staff were also quick to provide a cot for our young baby. a wonderful experience.

The excellent food menu had superbly cooked dishes with generous portions, and the Jamaican chef provided refreshingly different options like the very good goat curry. The continental breakfast had an extensive choice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pub area had a lively vibe, interesting decor, and a real fire. Tea and coffee making equipment in the room was a nice touch.
