the room was beautifully curated, with thoughtful touches like homemade treats and a mini-fridge stocked with fresh delights. the surrounding green spaces and local vineyard added to the charm. the staff were exceptionally accommodating, going above and beyond.

A quiet country pub with a welcoming atmosphere. the rooms are cozy and well-equipped, and the food in the restaurant is delicious. the staff is friendly and attentive, making me feel at home. Despite minor inconveniences, the overall experience was pleasant. Nearby landmarks like Anne of Cleves House and St Michael's Church added to the cultural experience, enhancing family bonding. the relaxed setting with live entertainment and a garden area provided a cozy space for unwinding.

Hidden gem in Sussex countryside with exceptional Eggs Royale for breakfast. Dog-friendly environment with lovely walks and spacious rooms. Innovative dinner menu with local ingredients and great wine selection. Friendly and helpful staff, perfect for exploring South Downs.

A huge shout out to Rob at the Jolly Sportsman for offering us a lift back to our car when we couldn't find a taxi. the room was perfect - nice, clean, and comfortable. the location is lovely with great views. the ground floor layout is stylish and quirky. Our room had a top-end shower and a comfy bed. the dinner and breakfast were amazing, with intriguing menus. the staff, especially Chrisie, were attentive and helpful. a delightful experience.

The rooms at this hotel were clean and comfortable, with fluffy towels and dressing gowns, a comfortable bed, and a modern shower room. The staff were professional, welcoming, and friendly, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The food in the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced, offering plenty of choice. The location of the hotel was ideal, situated between two popular towns and surrounded by picturesque countryside and footpaths.

One downside of this hotel was that the access to the rooms was via an outside staircase to the rear of the building, which might be challenging for someone with mobility issues. Additionally, it would have been more convenient if there was a separate entrance for guests from the car park to the rear of the property.

my recent stay at a charming country pub near Lewes was an absolute delight. The staff were friendly and professional, the rooms were spacious and clean, and my dog had a blast running around the beautiful gardens. It exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to come back for a longer stay.

The room was lovely and spacious, with a great bathroom and a comfortable bed. Everything I needed was provided. I especially enjoyed the beautiful outdoor spaces and the friendly and helpful staff. Despite a small issue with communication and finding my way around the hotel, the food served was great and made up for it. I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel.

As a light sleeper, I loved the recently refurbished rooms with ensuite shower rooms. The peaceful garden setting and responsive staff made for a relaxing stay. The food, both dinner and breakfast, was exceptional with a wide range of delicious options.

During my Easter stay, I was impressed by the recently refurbished rooms and ensuite shower rooms. They were spacious and comfortable, providing a great level of comfort. the dinner at the hotel exceeded my expectations, rivaling the experience I had at a 2 Michelin starred London restaurant. The service was prompt and friendly. I also appreciated the wide variety of breakfast options, with the full English breakfast being particularly delicious.

I found the access to the rooms a bit challenging due to some steep stairs and the need to traverse sodden grass from the car park. It would be beneficial to have a proper path in place for easier accessibility.
