The location of the hotel is ideal, being in the center of Windermere and close to shops and restaurants. It was a pleasant surprise to discover that it was also within easy walking distance from the train station. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice modern feel, while still retaining its old character. The breakfast was exceptional, with high-quality food and attentive service.

The noise insulation in the rooms could be improved.

This hotel is a great value for money with reasonable prices and attention to detail. Its location at a busy road junction makes it easily accessible and convenient for exploring. The staff is friendly and provides excellent service. The rooms are comfortable with a brilliant view into the town center. I particularly enjoyed the super kingsize bed and the nice bathroom. The breakfast, which is included, is served with good quality ingredients.

We loved the clean and spacious room, as well as the modern bathroom. The hotel itself had a lovely dining area and the staff were very welcoming. We were grateful for their pet-friendly policy and Duke enjoyed his special Doggy breakfast. The location was perfect for us, with the Orrest Head walk just a 2-minute walk away and plenty of bars and pubs nearby. a great stay at the Lamplighter.

The breakfast was really nice, and we enjoyed it without any issues of it being cold. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly a lovely blonde lady at reception who made us and our little dog feel welcome. The breakfast was really good with a nice variety of items to choose from. The bed was super comfortable which made for a great night's sleep during my business trip. The hotel was conveniently located just a short walk away from the train station, making it easy to get around the city.

We recently stayed at Lamplighter Dining ~ Rooms and had a fantastic experience. The highlight for us was the friendly and helpful staff. They provided us with great recommendations for walks and places to visit with our dog. We also loved the comfortable and clean rooms, which made us feel right at home. And let's not forget the unbelievably delicious food, especially the suet beef pudding and eggs benedict. The relaxed atmosphere in the bar and dining room was a perfect way to unwind in the evening. The selection of gins and cocktails was impressive and reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

Although our stay at Lamplighter Dining ~ Rooms was amazing, there were a few minor drawbacks. The room had a slightly tatty feel and could use some improvements, particularly with the furniture.
