As longer term business travelers, we appreciated the attentive and friendly staff. The hotel had a great location next to the river, providing a serene atmosphere. The room was well furnished and the beds were very comfortable. The vintage-style decor added to the charm of the hotel. The food at our family function was fresh, tasty, and well presented. The hotel also had a wonderful restaurant with an interesting menu and a good wine list. we were impressed with the facilities and amenities offered.

The menu for breakfast lacked options for toast, with only sourdough available. It would be great to have a range of toast offerings, such as white bread, to cater to different preferences.

The hotel's location was convenient, being a short walk from my son's place. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, even storing my medication in their wine fridge. The room was quiet despite the busy area, and the vintage decor gave it a charming vibe. The restaurant served delicious meals, and the breakfast choices were varied. The car park felt safe.

The bed was large and extremely comfortable, and the air conditioning was a bonus. The breakfast buffet was good with fresh fruit and a variety of cereals. The cooked breakfast was exceptional, with top quality bacon and sausage, perfect scrambled eggs, and delicious rosti. The service was excellent too. The hotel had a wine shop/bar and sold their own candles, wine, and preserves. Dislikes: The shower was small and the water soaked my hair. The water also came over the top of the doors and wet the floor, which could be a health and safety issue. I would have preferred bottled water instead of tap water. a pleasant stay but some areas need improvement.
